    I have a Toyota Tundra 2016 5.7 with about 57k.

Noticed the engine light when I started up the truck. I read the code through a Kenwood stereo. I made a mistake by resetting the light after reading the code. Need an oil change so I'll have the dealer look at it. Looks like everyone is saying the ECM needs to be replaced. I did install a new sound system which includes new stereo, amp, speakers, and subwoofer. Nothing says its related to that in any way though.

    Any thoughts?

    P2610 TOYOTA Possible Causes
    What does this mean?
    • Faulty Engine Control Module (ECM)
    • ECM Harness is open or shorted
    • ECM Circuit poor electrical connection
    • ECM outdated program
    Could be a wiring issue?

Yesterday my check engine light came on. Same code as yours, p2610. While I was at the auto parts store I bought a new engine air filter which happened to be very dirty. I noticed when I installed the new air filter that it felt as if the air filter cover wasn’t on totally and it must’ve been that way since the last time I change the air filter a year ago. Anyway, I installed the air filter started the truck and a check engine light went off and hasn’t returned. So there’s that!
