Doesn’t that thing have a 3500 lb towing capacity?

Send those pics to the Edmonton Police. The license plate is clearly visible.

Sweet jesus. I had a 2012 JK Wrangler and thought I was going to die when I pulled a landscape trailer. Dude is out of his god damned mind.

Geez, and I thought the Mercedes GLS I saw pulling a ~25 ft trailer yesterday in the city was bad...

B.C. drivers are the worst. They drive well under the limit when there's nowhere to pass them then speed up as soon as there is. They only accelerate when going uphill and only brake when going downhill, killing my fuel economy...

I have owned many jeeps, that is about a careless as you can be. On a good day a Wrangler pulling 3k pounds is scary.

Sure hope he gets pulled and ticketed for that stupidity.

And it looks like that rear suspension has about an inch of travel before hitting the axle/stops

The trailer has 2 axles so that makes sense.

With all of the discussion of these pictures being about safety, I sure hope you had a passenger taking them. Also... you have a crack in your windshield. :D

My dad's V6 Suzuki Grand Vitara, which has 3000 lbs of towing capacity, sometimes struggles with his ~1600 lb boat (fully loaded, including gear and trailer). How could anyone ever want to tow a travel trailer with a small SUV, let alone think it's ok?

He must have thought bigger wheels = more towing capacity. Shame on whoever even sold him that trailer

Hopefully it is at least a rubicon model with D44’s, otherwise those axle bearings are yelling louder than the engine

Yes the passenger in the car took the pictures... Also here in Alberta Canada we have no laws about windshields having cracks . As long as it's not in the line of sight we don't care

I go through at least one windshield every year. AMI glass insurance is $180 per year and a $50 deductible. Works out to half the price.
