Well, I just got a job here locally, so house hunting begins. SUPER stoked! Been working remote on a temp contract with my old employer. It's bittersweet because I love the people I currently work with, but my position was never meant to be remote.

    Thanks!

It's good. I only had till next month before my contract was up, so it had to happen at some point soon. The new place seems like a really good company with really good people, so I'm pretty stoked to start working there.

Congrats! The thought of interviewing for new positions during Covid seems tough. Glad it all worked out for ya.

It is. Luckily, I work in IT, so we can be very mobile if needed. I was stressing pretty heavy on Saturday though. I stressed enough that I triggered some chest pains... That was actually quite scary. We retreated to the mountains for a few hours yesterday and all was well. Even better today, now that I've got an offer letter signed.

So, under normal circumstances, how's the commute in/out of DTC? Just looking around, there seems to be A LOT of office floor space there, so I'm assuming that it's a madhouse.

It'll be standard hours, so like 8-5 or so. We're going to start shopping for a house soon, so I'm wondering where we should be looking. We're in SE Denver right now, just west of Havana. We like the area of Aurora near us here, so around Utah Park. We also like Englewood. Our IDEAL location would be like the Lakewood/Littleton area near the foothills. We're also into Arvada and Thornton, but those are pretty far for both my girlfriend and I. I'll be in DTC and her therapy patients are in Aurora and Parker.

Arvada is still nice. A coworker lives there. He gets to work by 7am every morning to beat the traffic. Thornton to DTC can be a challenge now unless you leave to work early.
Check with @COMiamiFan, Jose, about Parker area prices. Close to Aurora, but then again the 225 can get crazy too.

I know this is the BS thread but was looking for advice on a reliable shop to do suspension install with a BMC here in Colorado?

Missed my place but there was a pretty decent super cell show going on. Lightening all over the place.

Had quite the lightning show out east when I was coming home last night. No hail that I’ve heard about, thank God.

I’m not far from you (I was actually leaving the brewery, Something Brewery) but the wind decided to take my bbq off my patio. I’ve never been concerned with the bbq. Trampoline? Sure. But nope. Never a bbq lol

    What will you be doing?

Overnight Stocking at Lowes. Submitted the drug test today and will have the formal offer very soon.

I'm hoping the test comes back ASAP so I can start working next week. This would be a good gig that'll work with my school schedule in the fall.

I am looking at some other part-time work for the extra money. Trying to work 60hrs/week

My last job was 70-80, and at times- 90hpw. Salaried. They took far more advantage of that
