    Hi all,

I am swapping out my 2018 limited grille for the 2019 Trd Pro grille. Yay or nay for the ares garnish cover. TSS issues?

    thx

I've had no issues with the Ares garnish. YMMV, but the most recent design seems to be holding up well.

FWIW, excellent fit and quality on my nonfunctional Ares garnish.

I have the newest version (non TSS) and I think it looks great. The only wish that I would have is if it was more of a gloss color to match the PRO Grille better. It’s not bad at all, I’m just a little OCD about things like this.

I really like how this looks. It's a nice throwback to the old Toyota's of yesterday. I wanna do it to mine.

I ordered mine on a Monday and it was in my hands on Saturday. I sent them an email for payment confirmation once I sent the payment and they responded with 24hrs with the confirmation and tracking number. I would shoot them a quick email for clarification.

Just received the garnish from Ares but the color seem way off more like grey doesn’t match the black grille.

That looks like it didn't get finished or something... not at all what the final color/material on mine or others have looked like. Have you reached out to see if this was a defect?

I haven’t reach out to them. Look like it never been paint. look like just matte grey. Is it supposed to be glossy black like the grille?

Looks to be rubber. The paint might fall off if they paint it.

Definitely not gloss back, mine is matte black but it has started to wash out over time. Post #6 was brand new on my truck

Mine not even close to yours. Test fit on the grille and I took it off real quick and put it back in the box.

It's 3D printed but I'm not sure what material he uses. I know at least on the one for TSS use he uses a different material that ends up like a satin finish. The non-TSS version should be able to be primed and painted without issue.
