Could my lock actuator be bad?

So I have an 01 tundra with an aftermarket (Code Alarm) security system. I've noticed lately that the drivers door won't lock after pressing the fob. The passenger side works fine. This made me believe it was the actuator that was going out. However the lock always engages fine when the truck starts and disengage when turned off. The security system locks and unlocks the doors when started and turned off. Before going through with replacing the actuator I just wanted to see if anyone else had any suggestions or insights into this situation. Thank you.

I'd guess that it's a problem with the wiring/relays or brain of the security system. If the lock is functioning on start/shut down and if you can control it with the door switch then the actuator isn't the problem.
