Since you've ruled out the rotors, try this. Remove the caliper assembly completely from the diagnosis procedure and just hang it out of the way. Torque down the rotors properly by themselves and test it like you did before. This hopefully will rule out the calipers/brakes and you can move on from there.

Did you try, like already suggested, to apply the parking brake only and see if the noise changes? If the noise stays the same using only the parking brake I would think you could rule out the pads and caliper.

I would have said to check the ujoints too but from your video it really sounds like it is coming from the wheel area. Is that the way it sounds in person?

Thanks, Yes all of the break parts were Toyota OEM from the dealership.

Thanks! I have tugged on the u joints but only while vehicle is in park, I’ll try in neutral but so far everything looks ok. I did lube up the propeller u joints that I could find. I also changed the front and rear diff fluids as well as the transfer case. Thanks for the advice.

Thanks I believe the clips you are referring to are only on the front. Rear have some metal spacers at the edge of the pads.

Thanks, the noise is the same with the p break on and off, the main breaks on or off, and the same with the tire on or off. It also makes this sound at a stop sign when I start to accelerate. Yes it really seems like it’s coming from the wheel area.

It could be the brake but I am leaning towards something else. I would first check for a wheel bearing problem. It is pretty quiet when going down the road? Have you tried jacking it up and see if there is any play when you put a load on it when it is in the air.

I am going to ask a dumb question. Have you checked the Diff for gear oil? Also what type of work was done to the Rig before the noise started?

Yes the wheel seems firm in the air.
    Thanks!

The clicking has been going on for a few months but seems to be getting worse. I changed the fluids in the drive train components hoping it may help but no luck. I did recheck the fluid levels to make sure and they were ok.

Any work prior to the noise that may have changed something?
