Finally got the magnuson up and running. Love the system. However, after my trips, after the cool down, my rad reservoir losing coolant, I don’t see it on the ground or in the engine bay. I checked oil just in case. While driving and it’s heated, it stays at the same level. I don’t know where it’s going.

That's your overflow tank. The level will rise when the engine is hot, and drop when it's cool. Add coolant to the proper level when it is cold, and then see if it continues to drop before you worry.

I'm not 100% sure, but does the addition of the SC change the required amount of coolant? Something similar to how adding a trans cooler changes your required amount of ATF?

3 separate trips it stays high when hot to where I filled it, then when cool it goes backdown. But I don’t see where it’s going. No evidence anywhere. I filled all 3 trips tho.

First pic is where I filled up to first time, and 2nd pic is after the 2nd trip.

That would have me a little worried, but there could still be something like a pin hole in the radiator that could only be leaking when under pressure. Have you tried getting it up to temp in the driveway, maybe with a fresh sheet of cardboard under it, and then letting it cool while you watch to see if there are any minor leaks?

Also, quick search shows you're not the first to have this puzzle. https://www.tundras.com/threads/losing-coolant-slowly.58471/

Does the system have a built in I/c where it bolts to the upper intake runners? Expanding Aluminum inter coolers bolted to an aluminum motor is always problematic in these type of systems due to all the expansion and contraction. Just one bolt torqued out of sequence or not exactly to spec can cause warping. I’ve also seen issues where a bolt hole in the head or intake wasn’t completely clean and gave false torque readings on the bolt.

Are you saying it stays high when hot and goes back down when cool? Without adding any coolant? If so thats how coolant works, thats why it has an overflow tank. If you were to fill the overflow to the top when cold, you would end up pissing out coolant when it gets hot because the coolant level rises from high temps.

Damn. Safe to say, you have a considerable leak.

You never smelled burning coolant? Seems like you would have easily smelled this.

I do believe that's your issue. Good job finding it. Is it a hole in the hose, or loose clamps, or something more sinister like a crack in one of the hard fittings? I think I see a hole in the hose in the first pic, but it's so hard to tell over the interwebs.

Were you able to find the culprit? The photos show where you might find the leak, but were you able to define a solution?!

    X2, any ideas?

FWIW: I had a pin-hole in the s/c coolant reservoir return hose...didn’t really leak until hot and it was slow. The dealer wasn’t checking the coolant reservoir and one day I noticed some stains and popped the cap off and it was low. Ultimately, I replaced the hose myself and no more leaks.

Great to hear! I'm glad you found the issue and have been able to resolve the coolant leak!

I hope the OP was able to find a similar success!

Sparksparts telling me the unichip will work. Everything is connected perfectly and truck is shutting off. Magnuson telling me only up to 2018 models

The only difference between a 2018 and a 2019 that I know of is the removal of the external transmission cooler. None of the 2019+ trucks have it. Now, that doesn't mean there aren't other differences, but that is the only one I know of.

Yeah magnuson said ecu is the reason. Sparksparts guy insisted it will work on a 2019 and that my connections are wrong. Shop reapplied multiple times and confirmed it’s connected. I told sparks that there is a reason why it’s to 2018. He said nope it SHOULD work. Obviously it’s not working. Magnuson said said ecu changed between the years, so in theory could I buy a 2018 ecu
    And swap?

No clue. If the ECU changed, there would likely be a reason (possible to manage the increased tranny temps?) so I would be reluctant to do that swap. I'm not adventurous with my only vehicle though.

Also the harrop brand sc, on the YouTube site said they have a 2019. Looks like they using a hp tuner. Wonder if I could just go that route. Sparks pushed me toward a unichip.

With the customer service woes I've heard about Sparks I would touch base with Roman at Cool Springs. Just my personal feelings.

I've got a small leak on mine that I noticed as well. My coolant leak is on one of the small hoses where it connects to the coolant crossover. It has one of the facory style spring clamps on it and probably needs to be replaced with a standard hose clamp to get a tighter fit. Not sure if I need to drain the coolant to replace the clamp or not.20200717_190033.jpg 20200717_190056.jpg

Not my best try, but I put 2 decals on my new tow mirror caps. Then I gonna vinyl wrap it so it has a emboss look to it. I think it’s nice.

I haven’t heard of folks having issues at Sparks before. What kind of issues are you talking about?
