My best friend is a retired Navy Master Chief, I’m meeting him at the range on Monday. I got 2 boxes of hollow point for home defense and two boxes of full metal jacket for the range. I’m looking to buy more ammo tho

Yep. Two things you never want to run out of: oxygen and ammo.

Is the last one a 686 3"? If so I'm strongly considering a 686+ but can't decide 3" or 4", it'll be my first wheel gun.

Nice. Ton of online companies target sports has been outstanding. Even with the shortages I was able to get 50 rounds of Remington buckshot from them at a great price. Just have to keep checking daily. You will build it up over time. Have fun and always remember the basic safety rules and everything will be smooth. Welcome to the family!

Nice!! That Jerry Miculek is sweet, leaning toward a 3" but 4" looks BA. There are no gun stores in my area that stock revolvers so I can't get my hands on either to see which one I want.

I can’t explain why, I just decided I felt like it. Been wanting another wheel gun and browsing various places for awhile. Decided since I already own my 6 inch 629 I don’t need another cinderblock just for the range right now.

May learn to use a speed loader and make it work as a backup deep concealment option in scenarios where I can’t even hide my G26. Just do 5-7 yard speed drills.

Picked up a Sig M18 today

    It’s been awhile since I purchased a non-Glock handgun...probably 2 years

Shot my brother’s M18 2 weeks ago and immediately knew I needed one

Took about 2 weeks to find a distributor with them

Think I’m just going to go with this load. It’s not a one holer, but good enough for this game and consistent sub10 FPS SDs. (1 CM square grid targets)

Picked up a new "Zombie Herder" last night from my FFL buddy. AR9 pistol with a 5" barrel and a flash can. Just ordered a SBA3 brace, a Sig Romeo 5 and some iron sights today. Going to make a fine truck gun with Glock 33rd mags.

Picking up from Cabela’s tomorrow or Monday. My old Colt Mark IV 9mm Govt model used to be rock solid but
is getting too finicky to enjoy lately so it is now at the gunsmith for a work over. If I’m satisfied with it when they’re done I’ll keep both. If I’m still not happy with how the Colt Shoots I’ll probly trade it on an AR and let the Kimber give me my 9mm 1911 fix.

    I
was very nervous with all the Cabela’s customer service horror stories about processing orders on stuff they don’t have and then waiting to tell people. But they actually had it in stock at a distro center and it showed up in the store 5 days after I ordered it. I didn’t actually expect to get the gun considering not a single one of my local stores, large or small, can get me anything decent right now or even tell me when they’ll be able to again.

So took this bad boy up to my gunsmith for a quick fix after I bough it from him and shot the gas block loose on the first outing, re tightened, and shot it loose again. His build. Finally had to suck it up and make the hour long drive up there so they could fix it while I waited. Seems squared away now. Limited time to test fire but was finally able to quickly blow through 3 magazines of 556 without it turning into a bolt action, slide actually locking to the rear when it was supposed to. Now that it’s where it needs to be can get my buddy to take me out again and finish dialing in sights. Probably only got them 90% there on the first trip before the gas block started moving and it turned into a musket.

Hopefully it’s reliable now and this was a fluke.

Starter 556 with 16 inch barrel, Quad rail, Primary arms red dot, 50$ Tacticon Armament aluminum backups. Ballistic advantage lower and barrel. I have multiple pistols but am new to rifle ownership. So my buddy who’s a military vet who pestered me into buying one is showing me the ropes.

I’m really glad to run across your post here. I didn’t know the console lockbox existed. Been looking for a handgun safe to keep in the truck, and was going to chain a safe under the seat...this is so much better.

This is true. Between selling a bunch to a guy named Mike in Canmore, Alberta and losing what remained in a tragic canoe accident I have nothing left. :(
