TRD air intake . Over sized wheels and tires. 4x foot well LED light bars. TRD rear sway bar Front LED light bar behind grill. Back up LED under rear bumper Front leveling kit. Pop out side steps. Three fold taunneau cover.
In 2018 Tundra went to LED daylight running lights. in doing so they rewired the front signal lights incorrectly to the old duel filliment bulb. by wiring the front filament for the signal they dropped it down to the 8 Watt front of the bulb rather than the intended 28 Watt rear filament. Toyoat initally refused to correct the issue so I contacted Transport Canada who opened a file #2020-1089. Within two days a got a call from the dealer and the following week the issue was resolved by repinnng both front bulbs. I now have signal lights people can see.
It appears however that Toyota does not want to do a recall which involves 2018, 2019 and 2020 Tundra's. So for those with the same issue, talk to your dealer or maybe call transport Canada. 1-800-333-0510. If more people raise the issue Toyota Texas may be forced to fix the issue.

I’m curious, did they act surprised and then suddenly know exactly how to fix it?

I have to ask. Why since 2018 has no one contacted Toyota about this, or have they with no response. The photos posted are correct. Toyota re pinned the signal lights and they are great, a full 28 watts. They seem to have known there was an issue but were surprised that there were very few complaints. Also I have visited several dealerships and found that several tundra's come with the front bumper out of allignment, including mine. I brought mine back and they fixed that too, there were several trucks on their lot including a 2020 and all had front bumpers out of allignment. Toyota seems to be aware of therse issues however, after three years there seems to be no factory fix in sight. maybe with the new body style coming these issues will be a thing of the past.

I’d have to guess that most Tundra enthusiasts who noticed the dim signals simply swapped in LED lights and called it fixed

Toyota is conducting a noncompliance recall involving certain Tundra vehicles
    July 15, 2020

PLANO, Texas (July 15, 2020) – Toyota is conducting a noncompliance recall involving certain 2018-2020 Model Year Toyota Tundra vehicles in the United States. Approximately 183,000 vehicles are involved in this recall.

In the subject vehicles, the wire harness connected to the front turn signal bulbs was assembled incorrectly, causing them not to illuminate as brightly as intended. This can cause the subject vehicles not to comply with certain Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard requirements.

For all involved vehicles, Toyota dealers will modify the wire harness connected to the front turn signal bulbs at no cost to customers.

Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by mid-September 2020.

Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is current as of today’s filing date and is subject to change thereafter. To see if your vehicle is involved in a safety recall visit Toyota.com/recall or nhtsa.gov/recalls and enter your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or license plate information.

For the most up to date information surrounding recalls visit nhtsa.gov/recalls. For any additional questions, customer support is also available by calling the Toyota Customer Experience Center at 1-800-331-4331 or the Lexus Guest Experience Center at 1-800-255-3987.
