Plastidip didn't hold up too well 10 degrees out, driving into a 20-30 mph wind. Going to have to redo that piece 20161229_153548.jpg

Add a few more coats to the black. Looks like it's not quite fully covering it. Looks better though.

Oh wow. Likes like it didn't adhere very well to the chrome. Might want to get the cleaner that they sell on dipmycar.com because it also kinda leaves a film that helps adhesion.

Yeah. That was 5 cans of white and 4 cans of gloss. I literally bought out the town's supply of dip. Haha

A little of this and a little of that.
**************************Update on the dip holding up after almost 3 months.****************************

I dipped my wheels, door handles, front bumper end caps, side steps and mirror caps. Everything is holding up just fine. No chips or peeling on the mirrors, door handles and front bumper end caps. Looks like the day I dipped them. (As a side note everything was chromed)

Now there is a chip on the passenger side of the steps where something took a 1" x 1" chip out of the top side of the step.
Because I didn't clean the wheels good enough there are still some spots that are peeling up, again I didn't get it clean enough, my fault not the dips fault. So other than the top of the passenger's side step everything is holding up great.

Since you step on it often it's probably not the best idea. It is a "temporary" product. It will last a long time in a low wear area but will definately wear with foot traffic.

I dipped my stock stainless running boards with rubber where you step. They have held up really good actually. Shocked me. As long as you don't walk on them with golf shoes you should be fine. I have one small chip in the top where I have no idea what happened there but there's that. The chip is about 1"x1".

Thanks! I have to redo the SR5 badges. I messed up and didn't wait long enough to start peeling. From far away it still looks ok, but close up you can tell it needs some tlc. Lesson learned!

Hey no problem on the SR5 badge. I understand lesson learned. I didn't get my wheels as clean as I guess I could have because in some of the corners on my wheels my dip started lifting in a few places. Lesson learned. Clean wheels better next time. LOL....

Hey guys, not trying to high jack thread, just thought I could pass on some advice that a buddy told me to do when dipping your wheels. Take some Tire wet or Tire magic, what you spray on your tires for that wet shine look. Spray your Tire around the wheel, when you go to pull it off , it comes off super easy. Hope this helps

Didn't get a chance to get a pic with the badge blacked out in the daylight. Will try to remember to snap one tomorrow and upload. Bumper end caps are to follow soon.

Looks real good! I think you could always leave the grill the way it is for a little contrast. If you're like me though I would dip the grille black. I like black!

If you do this, don't spray onto the tire. Instead, spray it on a rag and wipe it on very careful.
