Almost complete. Just need to overlay the steering wheel emblem and get a new shifter handle. Then.....doors.

Looks great. I would swap out your climate control and radio knobs for some black AJT knobs with anodized red bolts, would look really nice!

That looks so much better. Not sure what they were thinking with enormous chunks of grey plastic all over the cab

Haha. Thank you! It actually wasn’t as hard as I thought it would be. In the 3rd gen stickies there is a great video for the tear down of the dash. Took about 1.5 hours to take apart. About an hour to paint. I let it cure for 2 days and an hour or so on the reinstall.

Worst part was the darn chrome trim rings on the knobs.

I am south of Houston. Would be happy to help you if you are close.

Yeah. I couldn’t stop once I started. I am eyeing that strip of silver on the doors now.....and the handles. Those I will probably not paint because I could see them getting banged up getting in and out.

Are you talking about the silver around each gauge? Me personally I would not take the cluster apart.

I know it’s not much of a help now....but I have ordered every AG or black knob and surround from AJT, and as soon as it warms up here, I will be tearing apart the PRO to be painted AG. The silver pieces on the dash, steering wheel, and front and rear doors will be painted. Supposed to be 5 degrees tomorrow...so looking at mid March!

Check the build link in my signature.
Not sure on the Gen3 but in the Gen2 you could remove the instrument cluster and the “lens” was just polycarbonate the snapped onto the top of it. I imagine that the Gen3 could be opened up similarly and you could maybe paint them.

just know your ODO data is stored in the gage cluster, not the ECU. So if you screw it up, you’ll be having to find a shop willing to program you a new one (after you pay through the nose to buy a replacement).
