Ok guys I need help deciding not so much what lift but more so what route to go
I just want 35s at the moment, because I have small kids and its tough to move carseats in and out. But in a few years I would like to maybe go 37s

option 1- spacer kit 3/2 any brand, Ready Lift 4/2, Zone 3.5... I don't want to do a lot of trimming to get 35s. I don't want to cut on the bumper like I have seen some. I know that depends on offset

option 2- coil overs- Icon 3.5 but then will need UCA I believe, Fatbobs with maybe a shim and CB shackle for rear, or any other coilover.. Only downside its expensive and these don't fit on bracket kits that I know off

option 3- Fabtech or pro comp 4.. Fabtech is 1000$ and cant be lifted and higher.. Pro comp is more but a better kit- im not sure but it looks like I can add coilovers and maybe get it to 5.5 or 6

option 3- Rough Country 4, bds 4.5 and sky jacker 4.5- all these are adjustable however when adjusting they all put the cv joints at steeper angles just like adding spacers to a non lifted truck. RC has the worst angles out of the 3. BDS is way higher- most big shops I have read are ok with the 4.5in kit but at 7 they say it puts stress on the front end just like stated above because the crossmembers are only dropping for 4.5in when u add spacers or coilovers you are increasing the angles

If I went with a spacer to start I would save money for the CST lift.

So help me out. I don't ever go hardcore offroading. Maybe a rocky road or stuff like that but no much

I don't want a +30 offset rim because they looked tucked too much with lifts.. I would be ok with a 20x9 0 to 20.

    1) Icons
    2) Fabtech
    3) no lift before you use any of the others

There's a very good possibility (i'll leave some room for others to disagree) that running a true 35 is going to lead to a cab mount chop. Im running 34.6" tires and I slightly graze the cab mount.

Thank you for your reply.. What makes you choose the fabtech over the pro comp 4?
I was looking at getting the zone 3.5 just because it comes with UCAs and if I went with a big lift later I could use those.. Bad thing is the back spacing limitations
I looked at camburg and SPC control arms with coilovers and im still gonna be 1500 or more.. And 35s are gonna need some trimming anyway

If you want 35's you should just do the cab mount chop and not let it influence your decision.

Your end goal is kind of all over the place. Did you want to have the truck level and stuff 35/37's in there or were you looking for a huge lift/tires? If option number two is your end goal, why waste money on an intermediate mod?

Icon or Fabtech will be the better performing options, but will cost more. Any of the lift will get most of the job done, but with more sacrifice for saving $$$. Spacer lifts will accelerate wear as will cheaper higher lifts. The better the suspension, the less stress you put on other components.

it's more about me going to high for trucking kids in and out. For the time being meaning like the next year to 2 years just running something small to fit 35s looking and driving good.
Then when the kids are out of the car seat moving up to a 6 or 7 for 37s

It's not really about the money more so about the kids.. it's not like I'm going replace in 6 months. My daughter is two years old so it will be a while.
I was just wondering if the it would be better to just buy one of the bds, RC or skyjacker kits done they can be adjusted(even though when they are at full height they are at bad angles)
Coilovers, UCA and a CB shackle might be best. At least I could sell the coilovers when I went higher

Buy some fiberglass fenders and put 37's on a sweet mid travel setup. :mudding:

Maybe look at getting coilovers and shocks that are part of the BDS 7.0 system like the Fox's 2.5's. That gives you the 3" now to stuff 35's and then you can add the rest of the kit later or if you decide a different route, can be used with a long travel or mid travel setup.

I was under the impression that the shocks used in those lift kits are different then the ones you use when leveling. I could be wrong. Those lift coilovers are designed for those lifts. Please correct me if I'm wrong

With a little cutting it will. If you don't want to cut at all, you'll need atleast a 4" or 5" lift.

Maybe, but to me those look like Fox 2.5's.

I'd tap into someone who sells those kits to let you know.

I don't mind cutting the body mount and taking the flaps off. I don't want to have to trim the bumper or anything that drastic

You can stuff 35's easily at that point with any level kit.

Some Mods :) See build thread for details
35s fit on 3/1 with the right offset without much work.

I like the 20x9 Methods but they are ran a whole bunch around Tundra talk and im sure here.. I like the new Icons and Fuel Sledge in 20x9 will stick to 18+ offset. Or just use my factory rims and get a wheel spacer

Whatever you do to the front bumper, it'll be less drastic than the cab mount.

I don't mind pushing the plastic in and you cant see the body mount.
Does anyone here have any experience with skyjacker?
The fabtech 4'' is looking good I can get ti for 900 but its a spacer lift. It does come with UCA and new knuckles to help CV which is good.
The boss complete is about the same price 100 dollars more maybe
THe toyotec ultimate 4" spacer kit with SPC UCA

also, does anyone know if the pro comp 4" kit can be adjusted to a 6"??

Procomp 4" and 6" is completely different. I called procomp about this bc I'm going from a 6" to 3.5" lift soon

TC long travel. Deaver 420 SU leaf packs.
What Joon said. The "bumper" doesn't need to be cut. You can slide the whole bumper forward a little. Also, the liner can be trimmed and moved forward an inch or more or just heat it and reform. The CMC is the most invasive mod required to fit 35s. You might also consider 295 65 20. Very close to 35' and a little narrower to help decrease rubbing issues.

Ok thank you. I was asking because at one point Pro Comp just had a 4" and a 6" I just thought maybe the kit was designed like the others

That's probably best. That's why BDS and Rough Country have bad angles and those heights.. Bds is better than RC
