I had a 9-5 years back & it had a pleasant looking 3 stream sprayer (x2 or was it x3) on the hood. Look good worked nice.
The headlights had high pressure pop-up sprayers.
With Saab well dead, these cars end up in junkyards with out much prompting.

If I wanted better washers, I think I'd wander a pick-a-part junkyard & pull a headlight washer system off any high end vehicle that had headlights at a similar angle to my windscreen.

Of course I'd also pull some triple nozzles to try.
Who doesn't enjoy a nice wander in a junkyard?

FJ’s are cramped inside, for me at least and the 4th gen with the 2uz was unstoppable. Perfect combination of size and power. Here was my 07:911716F2-EE19-41B9-930B-6309575A8E68.jpg

I've become pretty familiar with the 4.7, obviously :D

Bonus is I can get a 4runner cheaper which leaves more cash for upgrades. Now I have to somehow convince her :hattip:
At the moment her car runs great but she is around 80k miles so all the maintenance is coming soon. If I start with that we can't sell it

Each nozzle sprays 2 solid streams each on mine. Might be the 3 year difference.

FJ’s are beasts offroad, even in stock form, but they have increased in price since they were discontinued. Some owners believe they will be collectors down the road so they’re holding on to them. That’s what I’ve found out here at least. The 4th gens are less appealing due to their “mall station wagon” stock appearance. They’re the least popular 4runner, except for the 2nd gens with the 3.slow. That being said, I absolutely loved mine and will have another or a gx470 in the future.

I try. The 4runner was basic, pretty much exactly what the tundra currently has. The tundra will get modded far beyond what the 4runner was.

Well, today has been a very fortunate day for "the learning curve."

Them guys, n gals over on TW sure are active. I don't feel so bad now about bogging down any of these threads now. Sheesh.
Lots of Mod attention it seems. Maybe that impression is wrong.

keep in mind that upright windscreen on the Fj. kinda sucks on the highway.
Someone on TW had one, driving in a snow storm a gust smacked the windscreen & nudged her to the side of the lane. Tire caught the snow pile from the recent plowing & she was off the road & into a tree. Very competent driver into a tree from a strong wind gust.
That got me over the FJ's.
just a thought if your wife does a lot of highway driving.

I didn’t want to say anything, but @Tundra2 told me while he was under your truck doing the bumper he saw a few oil pan seeps.

I'd go for an LC100 (lx470 or land cruiser). The 4runner interior is so small in comparison, just like the Tacoma compared to our Tundra's. Hell, even the gx460(or 470) has more room. Both are usually around the same price or cheaper, have full-time 4x4 and v8's (obviously the lx and gx470 are the same motor in the Tundra).

    I responded before I kept reading...damn it.

The LX470 isn't that big honestly. It's only 2" longer than an 05 4runner and 2" wider. My wife thought the same until she started driving it.

Not sure about the New LandCruiser but the ones from the early 90’s were cramp city. Tight fitting (like 4Runner) compared to my 2002 with a built in Heli Pad instead of a really really cool center console area.

I've tried to like the FJ but they just aren't for me. I hate the suicide doors.

I agree that the LX470 really aren't that big. About the same dimensions as a 4Runner. I'd love to have one.

I was thinking about it last night and I have to get the wheel bearing done on her car. That may take an extra few days  which means she is stuck with tundra
I think with a few days of driving she will be more comfortable with the size. You see where this is going huh

    Thank you!

Yes, I plan on putting the new bumper on today. Gotta touch up the rust first. 30 mins for me to figure out how, and to remove the bumper by myself.
