Seems in the ballpark for installed and aligned. A little high for AZ but labor rates will vary based on location.

Sounds pretty ballpark. The parts are like $1000, I believe. Then a typical alignment is $120. So that is $580 for labor. It will take a professional, 30-45 minutes for the rear shocks, each. Then 1.5 for the front shocks each. So 4.5 hours of labor, is my guess. That is $128 hourly to install shocks. I would never pay someone that rate for a job such as that. I would pay $80-100 hourly though.

Sounds high to me. My install with alignment was about $600. So if parts are $800 or less it should be a few hundred less.

Damn I replaced my rear shocks in about 15 min each side - easy as pie. Granted mine were 5100s and I am a average DIYer.

I agree, the rear shocks can definitely be done quicker, those were just the "book times", that I found for the job.

Do the install yourself! I did the 6112/5100 install myself (first time ever wrenching on suspension parts). The alignment was $89. It took me about a half a day to do it in my driveway. I ran into a few snags but got it done and saved a ton of money.

I paid 1200 for 5100 (front and back) installed. I've never enjoyed doing suspension work so it was worth it to me.

I hear ya...I wanted to try it and it was fun and satisfying. I am a DIYer to a fault- I hate paying someone to do something I can do myself. In my older age some things are just left to the Pros and it’s worth trading time for money. (like hanging and finishing drywall - I can do it but a pro can do it 100x faster...)

Yep same boat, but in my youth I did it myself more for I simply coudn't afford to pay someone. I'm not rich but I do manage my money better and I've had too many bad experience doing suspension work, that I probably would of saved money having someone do the work.

If it includes the cab mount chop and plates that’s a pretty good deal
