Thanks bud. I’m just going to regear to 5.29’s and throw a locker in the rear. Not worried about it holding up. For the brakes I’ll just replace the pads to the EBC yellows and leave the stock rotors. Not in a huge rush, I'm going to drive it as it is until the Covid mess is over.

    Poker Flat Trail

    02EB4F01-2196-43B4-AE32-1108C68E6A9E.jpg

Ran it with 11 Tundras! Was great to get out and see all the Bastrds. And really nice to meet @SC_TRD , @TG705 , and @Casper421.

Only disappointment was the lookout tower was closed. I took the wife and kids this time and really wanted them to see the view. Probably could’ve parked at the bottom of the hill and hiked up but I’m pretty sure they had the gate locked for a reason. I’m guessing they don’t want Tony the tower keeper getting exposed to the Rona. So we just moved on.

Anyways, with everyone being a bit more experienced now, this trail is just too easy and quick. It’s a great little trail but it’ll probably be the last time I run it.

Here’s a little rock pile we found at the end of the trail. I tried crawling over it and got hung up and had to get pulled off. So second time, as soon as I felt it about to high center again, I accelerated through it, and got my front wheels down.

Great trip to Bald Mountain. Sunnier drove up all the way from San Diego the night before so Warren and I drove up to camp with her. We found a nice secluded spot 5 minutes away from the trailhead that had a stream flowing right next to us. Pretty awesome falling asleep under the stars to the sound of flowing water. Woke up the next morning, had breakfast and drove 5 minutes to go wheeling. This was Rica and Ken’s first time truly crawling and I’m pretty sure they’re both hooked now.

Really fun! Totally worth 14 hours of freeway driving for 5.5 hours of off-road goodness with you Bastrds! I enjoyed everyone’s company on the run; liked everyone I met, and hope to see you all again. Thank you, @joonbug and @831Tun for finding and sharing that most excellent campsite!
