Fellas. Putting in some new headlights and hit a snag. Few questions for you followed by some photos to explain.
    1. Can you buy replacement plastic clips for this assembembly. It holds turn signals to main headlight housing.
    2. Are this U-shaped tubes for air/heat. The old housings had little foam which I would assume would be to prevent moisture from entering... (Maybe I'll stuff with foam or cotton ball if you guys think I should). I know some of the guys complain about moisture in lights so maybe this is the reason...
    3. Are these small bulbs day time running lights? Don't work in either head lights so I am gonna guy buy all new turn signals and maybe headlights at pep boys so I'll replace these. I'd assume they are.

Yes, you can get just the plastic button fasteners. Toyota likes to use those in all sorts of places -- particularly on wheel well skirts and underbody panels. I maintain 3 toyota vehicles and one Suzuki for myself and family members. I break those fasteners on a regular basis, so I bought them in bulk on Amazon. I got the two sizes that seem to be common on my fleet. They each came in a 50 pack I believe. The one you need is the smaller of the two.

You could just get this and the tools would be pretty handy to have along with the variety for this and other vehicles:

    https://www.amazon.com/GOOACC-Retainer-Plastic-Fasteners-Chrysler/dp/B07L6FJGR4/ref=sr_1_4?crid=COJRXS1LEUVC&dchild=1&keywords=toyota+body+clips&qid=1593337404&sprefix=toyota+body+%2Caps%2C172&sr=8-4

The tube on the back of the headlight is a vent. Incandescent bulbs make a LOT of heat. (Only 5% of the energy consumed by an incansescent bulb is converted to visible light, the rest is converted to heat.) So the fixture needs to allow for major expansion and contraction of the air inside.

I broke the same ones on removal, so I used long wooden Golf tees for years until I found the correct replacement pins...

I’ve been using blue plastic wall anchors with sheet metal screws. Pretty solid. These Retainer Tab Deals above look cool for $13. I’ll keep my current set up which works and save the $13.

Update. Installed. All working. Fitment isn't perfect but it will do for me. I'd expect nothing less from a product made in "chi-na". Thanks for help. I'll adjust lights tonight against garage if they look out of whack. Thanks for helpAF3030C6-3CF5-493B-84AE-38ED10807480.jpg

I used zip ties on the tabs for turn signal/parking lights for a long time.

    Eventually started using M6×1.0 Bolt.
    10 mm head. Lol

Believe it or not original owner said he never waxed it. It must have been garaged. I have polished and waxed bed but not cab yet. The polisher scares me and takes lots of time. Between work and kids I haven't had a chance. Soon it will be down along with a list of other things.

Here in South Florida you have to wax or garage, sun is brutal. My truck is over due but I have to finish getting things done. I have to replace my headlight lenses, I sanded the hell out of them and they are still screwed. I just installed the projectors a few days ago, well worth the trouble.

I broke some tabs on old lights. If anyone wants to pay for shipping I'll gladly send them to anyone who wants to practice for a projector install
