Just pulled the trigger on one of these last night. Was curious about one part of the installation though.

When i bought my truck, it didn't have a plastic trim piece on the front of the bed, similar to the side rails. Do I need one when installing the cover? Or, am I just overthinking?

No, you don’t. The cover should have a rubber strip along the front to mostly seal that gap.

My concerns were that the rubber strip might not be thick enough

Went out to look at truck. It came with a piece of thick foam weatherstrip to stick to the bed in addition to the rubber seal that’s on the cover.

Just got it installed. Super easy. Need to check tension tomorrow, after the top has been in the sun for a while.

Went out to check the tension the next day, and couldn't get rid of all ripples. Turns out there was only 1 tension adjuster. Called truxedo, and they sent out another one 2 day usps. But they didnt send the tiny "hitch pin retainer"! Come on people!

Anywho, got it all squared away. I'm liking it. Had 2+ inches of rain the other night. Besides some water pooling on top of the cover, the bed was dry as could be.
