I have been reading endlessly on what one would get for a plush ride for a vehicle that is mostly on road with light off road duty, no towing, no rockcrawling. 2002 Tundra 4x4 Not looking for a lift at this time, maybe a small1 inch at most int he future for larger wheels.

argues for progressive valving to have a plush ride and to use sway bars for the handling around turns that would be experienced on the road.

I have a bilstein 6112/5160 on backorder though it seems like it is a ways off and now I am starting to think that a better option for my needs would be the Boss kit from Toytec which is a few hundred more but I want to do this right the first time.

    Thoughts on this?

I think the 6112/5160 is the best bang for your buck as far as on-road and off-road capability. I went will the Toytec Boss kit for the adjustability. The 6112 is a much larger shock than the Boss shock. I have done some off-roading with the Boss kit and it performs ok but not great but I knew that going into it. Toytec does have great customer service. I’m probably going to upgrade to the Fox 2.5 with DSC in the near future. Just my $.02.

Yup, I was in the throws of analysis paralysis and am sticking with the 6112/5120.

I gotta stop reading the interwebs.
