 I really hope when I get mine put on that doesn't happen. I paid too much for the wheels to have some lazy tech beat the sh:censored:t out of them on the first install.

I thought about just bringing them the loose wheels but don't have another vehicle big enough to transport them while my truck sits on jacks at home

    Ask them to hand tighten.

Absolutely. For what I paid and how long I had to wait for these wheels, I'm going to be a down right pain in the ass about them. Same thing I do when I get the oil changed anywhere. If I see you put an impact wrench on my oil housing, you better be ready to replace it completely. I don't need somebody else's laziness breaking my shit.

They're always out of stock for the size/color/offset I want.

    Same with Relations Race Wheels.

I've tried to order several times, then I get impatient waiting for them to get back in stock and I order something else. =(

Totally understandable. Have you emailed or PMed SCS directly? They may be able to give you a better idea of when things are coming back in. I do know that with the plague there have been a lot of disruptions to various businesses.

I haven't. I've tried getting them both for my 4runner and my Tundra. In both cases it's just been a huge PITA getting an order of 5. I've gone through 3 sets of wheels on the 4runner and each time tried to get some SCS wheels (over a 3 year period) and it was the same thing each time. =(

I love the F5s sofa king much.

That's a bummer, but if you are cycling wheels that often and keep coming back to SCS, I'd say commit to it and just be patient. You obviously want them, so try direct contact. Maybe explaining how you've been working toward them will get them to loop you in on their next shipment. I know they are a small company though, so they just don't get the volume that your bulk wheel companies do.

I appreciate it but I'm not going to go jump through hoops to get these. I really love the look of the F5s and did check daily, for over a month, before buying my last set of wheels. That's about as much effort as I am going to put into it. I'm pretty happy with where I ended up

To give an example - right now the F5 are available in the size I want, but not the color I want, and there are only 3 of them.

    upload_2020-6-6_19-11-8.jpg

I'm happy with what I have right now. I occasionally get an urge to switch things up.. If these are available in black or bronze next time I do I'll buy them, if not I'll buy something else. =\

I hear you. I had the same issues, and I had to do direct contact to get it worked out. As long as you are happy with your wheels, it doesn't really matter who you go with, though. Speaking of your wheels, you have pics to share?

I put a torque wrench in mine when I got home. I set it to 130 ft lbs. 3 out of 5 lugs clicked right away on every wheel so who knows how over torqued they really were. Had to get out my long socket wrench to loosen.

Now the last 2 lugs were loose. I could have spun them off with a 6" wrench. Guessing they didn't bother to tighten in a star pattern, checking each lug at the correct torque twice.

This was discount tire. They did at least fix the balance issue I had from the shop that original installed my tires.

KMC KM542 on the Tundra. I've never seen anyone else run this wheel. Hub centric and pretty minimalist.

    TUNDRAupclose.jpg

    FreshWax.jpg

    Level8 MK6 on the 4runner. Also hub-centric and I love the gold/bronze on red.

    FreshJuneWaxPassenger2020.jpg

Love the Ray10s and F5s.. But not at all unhappy with how things ended up. Also sorry for posting non-SCS wheels in this thread. :crapstorm:

Hub centric is nice, and both sets look great. I dig the Runner wheels a lot. As far as the pics in here, I asked for them, so I'm the asshole. Not you. :hattip:

With the people voicing a demand for these on here, I am kind of surprised that SCS doesn't push a big order to get some stock built up. Then again, the bolt patter for the 3rd(2.5) gen Tundras will be going away when the next gen hits, so it's a bit of a risk for them to be sure. IDK, I don't run a business, but it seems like there is enough demand to sell way more than they are.

Those look fantastic! That black with Cavalry Blue almost makes me question my decision to get gunmetal. Not quite, but almost.

No way man. I already waited months to get these, and Gunmetal is my favorite by a wide margin.

I bought my SCS ray 10s without issue, I’m surprised to hear that others are having an issue. I did email them directly and tell them what I wanted, not sure if that made a difference.

    Stock height.
    275/70R18 Falken Wildpeak AT3W tires.
Removed air dam in front of front wheels, and still some minor rub on the mud flaps at full turn.
