    Hi everyone, ive been wanting a Tundra ever since the 2nd gens came out. I almost bought one 5 years ago but it sold by the time I got to the dealership and afterwards settled for a Subaru (wife's car now until we upgrade to a new 4runner or Highlander some day).

    Anyways, fast forward to now. After being given the green light by my wife to buy a Tundra, I had spent the last month shopping for new and used. Coming into this search, I was really looking to buy a used Tundra, hopefully lifted with expected mileage around 100k, for under $30k. I was even okay with a branded title if it saved me some money as I know these trucks are built to last. My wife, however, set a bar and said it must be brand new. Well, long story short I narrowed my search to a 2020 Tundra TRD Pro. My first choices were green and black. I just barely missed out on a green one. After getting the run around from several dealerships as only 1 in my area had one TRD Pro in stock, I ended up putting a deposit down for a magnetic gray metallic TRD Pro crewmax yesterday and was told that it had just had its VIN assigned. I am stoked! Also, the desk manager just so happens to be a good family friend so that made me feel more confident.

    The only TRD Pro that was in stock locally was being sold as "new" and had 1500+ miles as the GSM had been using it and he was firm at full MSRP. At first, they said they would take $1500 off MSRP but I found out later they rejected a potential buyer who drove 300 miles, was ready to pay cash, and walked away after the GSM declined to throw in predator side steps. I was told this by my sales person who I was referred to by a close friend.I said eff that and I couldnt be happier chosing one that is now being made for me.

    Decisions, decisions on the factory add ons. So far it has spray on bed liner and predator side steps. I am tempted to add the factory tonnau now. Still deciding what other factory options I should add.
