Has anyone successfully added after market amps to Dasaita 10.2 unit? Prior to install, both aftermarket amps worked, connected to kenwood double din. After dasaita install, amps remote turn on wire was connected to "amp det" wire located on harness that has audio out " sub, mid, left and right audio output". Amps dont turn on and i only have audio from dash speakers which are still connected to jbl amp.

Yes, just finished 2 days ago...JL amp. I tapped into the light blue wire from the harness under the passenger seat. It puts out 11 volts and triggers the amp.

    Aloha,
anyone lose their door chimes and alarm chirp after installing this unit? I checked every setting and there is nothing that comes close to turning it back on. The only selection was enabling or disabling the flashing parking lights.

This didn't happen to me. However, I'd recommend you do a search for this topic. There were a number of folks who I recall posting this same issue. I also recall some folks using techstream to reactivate the chimes.

Your best bet is to put the factory unit back in and reset the setting or either find a friend with techstream and get them to reset it. Alternatively if you don't want to do either you can take it to the dealer and have them reset the setting. Mine did it and I used my techstream to reset it. I've also lost all interior lights after the tire shop reset my tpms before so my techstream has more than paid for itself.

Hey guys. I’m finally thinking of ordering a head unit. This seems to meet all my criteria. I’m thinking the 10.2 9” 2nd gen version. I’ve read 22 pages of the thread and am still left with one question.
My 2008 limited is a jbl non-nav, non-rearview cam truck. Does my truck k have factory rear view wiring, if so, can I use it? Is this cam wiring? Tia

edit: also is there a aftermarket Amazon special tailgate handle cam that ties into factory?

You will probably be better off just getting an aftermarket camera. That way you have better picture quality. The stock one is a little grainy.

You could get a handle with the camera hole and find a camera that will fit. Like this: https://amzn.to/3fo3p6L

So, I was asked by Iris from Dasaita to update my unit. Apparently they sent me a new MAX10 (Android 10) instead of the 9.0 that i ordered. After said update was complete, I noticed that some apps that where on my screen are now hidden. When i go into Settings-Apps they are are there, but I can't select them to put/move to my main screens. If i want to use for example the AVIN input app i have to go into settings and then apps and then select it to open. Any suggestions?

    Instructions:
If you have any software issue, here is the link for you to download the file, and format the usb(or just make sure it only has zip file at the usb) ONLY put update.zip file to the usb, and plug that usb via the usb cable to our stereo.

Where did you order the unit from? When did you order it?

As for the icons, the default launcher might not have the ability to put more icons on but a 3rd party one should.

Bought it on Amazon within the last month. Apparently, the update is flawed. I tried going into settings-apps- default apps, it wont let me select the car launcher 3 its stuck on chrome.

I tried one of those too but no go... it’s an older one, so maybe I need a newer one.

I have the 10.2 installed and there's a buzzing that is driving me crazy. Its so bad that it gives me a headache. I can't figure out whats causing it. It comes from the unit and only stops when I turn the unit off. Anyone experience this?

Yeah, I had it too (I have an aftermarket amp added). But I went back and reread this post to find others who had it. Did you run the ground to the chasis? That worked for me!

No, the ground cable is very short, where did you ground it?

I used a posi-lock to run additional wire to the ground location under the front passenger seat.

    Hello all,

I have a 2018 crewmax platinum (with JBL/NAV), interested and trying to replace the oem head unit with the latest version of Dasaita that comes w/ apple/android auto carplay pre built.

    couple of questions.

    1) aliexpress links for head unit and canbus? i tried to figure this out, but no luck
    2) is the required harness all comes with the unit order? is it PnP with my truck's existing harness?

    Thanks for your help.

    Try this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/33058388173.html?spm=2114.12010612.8148356.22.6f587ea75muSPn
    Select DYX004 w/ Carplay
Then for the harness/canbus you'll need this: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32911401218.html?spm=2114.12010612.8148356.1.63201227XGc4h9

You can always message them and let them know what you have and they should get you the right things.

Those that have an aftermarket TPMS with this unit, which one did you use? Looking for one that I can put on my truck and a separate one for my travel trailer. The TT one will be a separate device though and not go through the head unit.

Some advice for people ordering as I just went through this, myself:

DO NOT use prime and do not have it fulfilled by the Amazon store. Before you select 'add to cart', go to the bottom right and select from the "New (2) from..." option or whatever is there. THEN, select the one from the Dasaita Official Store that pops up (they misspelled 'Offical' below). You can tell because it has the extra shipping charge (China shipping I guess). That is the only way to get the proper cables installed into the box before it ships. You select that option and THEN message the seller (Iris will get back to you). Otherwise, it will come from a local warehouse in the US and you will be missing things. Also, note that they have multiple listings for the same thing. In my case, they have (2) listings (both are the same according to Iris) for the 4GB RAM/64GB ROM version with the square edges (not a fan of the curved-edge one with the Dasaita logo).

For now, I wait for the package to come from China. :)
