I’m going all in. I’m retiring. I just bought a new Tundra 4x4 Ext cab with the TRD Off Road Package. And just bought a 2012 23’ Airstream Serenity. Holy Crap! What have I done? Lol! The only thing I know about rv’ing is how to hook up the trailer. I think. Any help /tips/psychological counseling you guys (and gals) can offer is greatly appreciated.

Welcome from Texas! Congratulations on retiring and going all out! I'm pretty new to rv'ing but getting a decent sway control system with a weight distribution hitch might be worth looking into. They making towing even easier.

It’s tips like these that will definitely help. I haven’t actually picked up either the truck or trailer yet. The trailer should be this week. The truck though is being built so I won’t get that until the first week of August.

The first modification I made was actually to the trailer. I’m having two 90 watt solar panels installed. Just because, even with my limited knowledge, I knew enough to do that. Now on the truck, I’ve read to upgrade the trailer braking system. Not sure why or how I would do that. Can anyone provide some insight?
