Not sure what everyone else is doing, but I made one of these a couple years ago as a gift. Was making another one as a gift recently, so I made myself one. While beaches and other places are open, bathrooms are closed...so bring this and a privacy tent, and it's on.

For extended stays that I'll be doing this weekend.....a nifty Nova bariatric grade commode. Can be used as a bench seat with the the special cover I made and makes a great stand for my Yeti. fits perfectly. The poop bucket is removable of course and only goes on when needed. I have biodegradable liners that I can bury at a remote corner of my off grid property. No more modified Homer Bucket for this old fart!

I've come across those a lot abandoned hunting here in CO. Shitter and a cheap seat to wait for that big buck...

Such an inspirational message of encouragement on the side of the bucket as you prepare to dispense last night's chili dogs.

FWIW, I used my hitch receiver shitter in the middle of the night during season opener for archery deer season...just put a kitchen plastic trash bag over the bucket, a small scoop of dirt and had a glorious half hour in the cool night air, looking up at the starts...and holding my 9 in case of bears. And yes, those are my Capt America PJs....IMG_9599.jpg

I remember needing to go while I was out in the woods one time. I had an appropriate sized card board box that I didn't need. I arranged some rocks around the box and the flaps served as a decent toilet seat.
    I called it my Shit-n-Box!

I don't have pictures right now but I took your standard metal folding chair, cut a hole out in the center of the seat pan, screwed a $5 dollar toilet seat from Walmart on it and that's my $#&+ing chair for hunting and camping.

Just dig a small hole, place the chair right over the top of it, handle your business, refill the hole, dig a new hole at a new location for the next round.

This was years ago when I lived in SoCal. I used to spend some of my long weekends up in the Big Bear area with the buddies. It was guns, brews and dirt bikes.
Now I have the great out doors right outside my back door. No more soggy boxes.

    True story.

30 years ago when I got deployed to the sand box, we used the cardboard sleeves from a case of MREs. Just stand it up in the sand, put an ass cheek on each side of the sleeve and do your business. Those card board sleeves were stout, so it would easily hold your weight. There's a hole over there that still probably has my skivvies in it...
