So, almost at the end of the line trying to get the Toyota camera to work with my aftermarket head unit... Stereo works, steering wheel controls work - looking for camera pins...

    I have a 2017 TRD

What pins ( colors ) am I looking for

There are 3 sets of wires that are covered in blue jackets..

    I have a 28 Pin harness and a 24 Pin harness

    Any help would be appreciated...

I don't understand why you are asking about 'pins'.
Which Alpine HU do you have?

Page 205 of this PDF has an Alpine wiring diagram.

    https://pdf.crutchfieldonline.com/ImageBank/v20200318225600/Manuals/500/500INEW970.PDF

I've had Kenwood and Pioneer HUs in my 2014 and had no problems connecting the rear view camera.
The Rear View Camera directly into plugged into the HU.

The Kenwood had an RCA for the Rear View Camera.

    Pioneer had the same..

Even this Alpine had the RCA jack for the stock rear view camera.
It would be the shorter single yellow RCA.
Does your HU not have that?

Hello, Thank you for the reply.. I have more info today ( took the tailgate cover off to goto camera connector )

    I have the Alpine's iLX-W650

I have a jack for the rear camera on the Alpine HU. When I placed the order with Crutchfield I was told I can either keep my steering wheel controls or the camera... I chose the steering wheel figuring they were harder to manipulate into the HU.

System works, but now I'd like to integrate the factory camera.... I've pulled the pins from the Toyota side of the harness ( I have a sheet labeling where the pins were on the harness )

I've searched and searched for the wiring diagram and found the 2015 tundra one which shows the following.

Crutchfield sent me to TOYCAM2-6V which has a connector not found on my truck's HU so I can't cross reference the pins... BUT I can remove the pins from that harness and use the RCA Jack to connect to V+ ( pin 12 ) and V- ( pin 24 ) , I'm assuming the black is my 6V ( pin 11 ) and the Common Ground is ground ( pin 24 )

not working... unit shows grid lines when put into reverse, but no image....

Opened up and looked at the camera connection and got this... a 6 pin connecter with 5 being used.

Just wanted to know if I was doing something wrong.. Need to know what pins need what signal.

    Thank you in advance.

That doesn’t seem right. There shouldn’t be any issue with the camera using the adapter. I would call crutchfield and double check.

it should all be plug and play. I haven’t seen a recent vehicle that makes you choose one or the other.

    B+=Camera+ power
    BGND=Camera Ground
    V+= Camera Video
    V-=Camera Video -

So there are really only 2 pairs used for camera I am sure,Power and Video
Where are you getting the 6 volt from, the adapter?
And are you sure the camera is a 6 volt unit?
