I started making some progress on my weekend warrior overland build during this Covid-19 lock down. I started out with a 2019 TSS SR5 4x4. I immediately replaced the factory tires with a set of 295/60r20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers to change the stance and get some off road performance. I replaced the 3/1 Readylift that came from the dealership with an Icon Vehicle Dynamics stage 5 kit to get flexibility out of the suspension. Just trying to stay busy during all of this madness.Truck Sideshot .jpg Truck front suspension .jpg Truck suspension rear .jpg

Next were the KB Voodoo Hi-Rise bars to help with the mountain bikes.

A DIY project to help secure gear in the bed of the truck. Super struts from Lowe's and a can of UPOL Raptor liner saved me a couple hundred $$.

How are you liking the KB Voodoo high rise system? I assume your tent mounts directly to it as well?

So far so good... Plenty of room for the XL tent, mountain bike, and a WaterPort. I have the tent mounted directly to the bars with the provided hardware but will be looking for other options to make removing the tent a little easier.

Dude, nice looking rig! I’m super jealous about the Icon stage 5, that’s the one I have my eye on. Did you install yourself? Are you liking it so far?

I appreciate it! The suspension setup has been great on road and off. I haven't got too flexy with it but so far it's holding up great. Worth every penny. I have a buddy that owns his own shop so he did the install for me for a good price.

Sweet setup! How do you mount your bikes to the KB Voodoo rack? I'm looking at the same setup.

I use a bike fork mount and lock on the front wheel and a rubber strap for the wheel to hold the rear tire to the KB Voodoo bar. I like this setup because I can use my XL RTT and still have room to mount my bike with plenty of room on the high-rise bars.

Got my BMC scheduled for this weekend. I was planning on going with 37's but after stalking the forum it seems my Icon tubular UCA's will cause issues so I went with 35x12.5r17 Falken Wildpeak MT's with Icon Alloys Rebounds is black. Also waiting to schedule my vinyl wrap, complete color change to Nardo Satin light grey.

Very useful so far. I have a Rotopax attached as well as my KB voodoo bars mounted to the struts. Works the same as the toyota deck rails

Very interesting. I wonder if it would work with any type of bed cover that would utilize a bed rail system.

O yea got one of those mounted too.... Using a cheap Gator soft top but it does the job well. I just use the uni-strut spring nuts instead of the t-slot nuts. I cut off the spring and it works perfect.

Finally pulled the trigger on some new wheels and tires. After a lot of debating I ended up going with a set of Icon Alloys Rebounds and some Falken Wildpeak MT's 35x12.5r17. So far I'm really liking the setup.

Got a really good deal locally on a RK Sports hood so I wanted to get that put on before the next big project. Fiberglass is a pain in the A**! and I'm still working out some issues with the washer fluid nozzle fitment but it's been a good learning experience.

It's been a while since I updated my build. Finally made a decision on the vinyl wrap and went with a satin Nardo grey and so far I couldn't be happier with the choice.
