Alright guys, y’all have been askin for some real testing since I first discovered a way to make affordable fuel injectors to replace your old, clogged, outdated stock injectors.

As most of you know our main business is manufacturing bolt on exhaust systems for 07+ tundras. However, my beginnings were my 2003 tundra which I bought brand new and still have to this day. 491430E2-AE3D-4013-9A1C-D173A8601899.jpg
Since 2003 I’ve created or helped create:
    Bolt on long travel suspension
    Long tube headers twice
    Bolt on turbo kit
    12 hole injectors
    E85 conversion
    Etc.

We were the first to run e85 in a turbo tundra

    First to run e85 period

first to run catless dual race exhaust behind long tube headers

first to run 07+ rear end in a first gen

first to install long tubes on a 05-06 tundra

and I’m sure there’s more that I’m forgetting.

my truck is beyond being able to test step by step anymore, it’s about as modded as it gets LOL. But my 14 year old daughter is the proud new owner of a 2006 access cab!!

I have tested fuel economy over the last few months. I use the trick as a ranch truck. Parts runner. Kinda commuter. Basically an etc truck. It tends to average 14mpg.

last Thursday we put it on the dyno. Baseline, bone stock 242hp 269tq to the rear wheels. The Hp is exactly what I expected. But it’s interesting to see less torque than a non vvti truck!48A884C8-DF39-4CC7-B7FE-7BD624CC9A5E.jpg
Day after the above dyno runs my daughter and I installed dirtydeedsindustries 12 hole 270cc stock replacement fuel injectors.

    http://dirtydeedsindustries.com/product/fuel-injectors/

stock injectors only use a 4 hole nozzle and squirt fuel at your valves, our 12 hole injectors mist the fuel at the valves;)

The theory was, and has been proven that the better atomization allows more of the fuel to vaporize which burns more of it and raises cylinder pressure at the bottom end better than the stock fuel injectors do. I also suspected that they provide better mpg.

I’ve proven both suspicions! This last tank of fuel went 400 miles
    7744D890-714D-4FA0-82C9-55D252CD10C0.jpg
    on a tank of gas
656D0882-5E43-487C-9F9F-849886E21193.jpg And today we had it back on the dyno and realized an overall gain of 0 hp and 0 tq. But I am super happy to discover proof of gobs of low end torque!! And more low end HP!! Just as suspected:)
    1AF5F568-8ADB-4340-A734-DF462E39D1FD.jpg

In conclusion: you will see a gain of about 2-3 mpg, and I didn’t baby it, this tank included normal ranch use, country road, city, and highway driving, passing people. Several dyno runs. Etc. 17.5mpg!! And noticeable low end torque gain!!

More low end torque and improved MPG... hot damn!

Is this a DIY shade tree mechanic mod, or is it best left to an experienced mechanic?

    @dirtydeeds

Is there enough demand for the V6 variant (5VZ-FE) to warrant your time, and energy into injectors for it?

Or are the V8, and V6 injectors the same?

I honestly don't know, and am just throwing an idea out there.

I will call after I get paid again.

Offhand, can you remember what kind of performance improvements that were achieved with the 16 hole injectors?

Doesn't really have to be exact. I'm sure mine are original, and 18 years old....

    Great!

Is there a 'how to' video, and a list of tools / supplies needed available?

16 hole injector you say? whats the flow rate? my 3.4 is a while away from running.. but better atomization on the 5vz would be wonderful with the supercharger... I might have to order the v8 and 5vz ones at the same time! (once the tacos frame is rolling that is)

I did the 12 hole injectors and didn’t notice an MPG increase, but did notice some shifting differences in the 2002 Tundra V8. The throttle feels SLIGHTLY better at all RPMS. The shifting seems better, especially the downshift. Without a way to measure torque, I’d say the truck feels like it has a lower gear for longer during acceleration than before the upgrade.

My observations are just anecdotal. Overall, its a mod that is worth the $300ish dollars. It took me about 8 hours total to do all 8 injectors. It was my first injector job.

Stock injectors only have a 4 hole nozzle. By upgrading to a 12 hole nozzle you will get a much better fuel atomization, a better throttle response, tip end, low end torque and better mid range power. the truck will drive more like a modern vehicle. Choose the 250cc if your running gasoline or the larger 330cc if you intend to mix E85 into your gas. Electrical adapters are required for 330cc injectors on 2000-2004 Toyota Tundras.

They took me about and hour and half to do but then again I didn't have a small child slave to get their little fingers up in there. I'm super happy with these things and I hit 20 MPG for the first time since it was stock! and the burnouts do be a little fatter now too :p

Been running these injectors for a couple months now. Was definitely a noticable improvement on throttle response, especially at low speed.

I have not seen much improvement in mpg, but don't have the data to say for certain.

Installation was quick and easy. Instead of paying $150 to have my old injectors cleaned I opted for these instead and would do it again.

Glad everyone is enjoying these with great feedback. Definitely worth it with the age on our old injectors.
