So I’m trying to see how every one is running the wires for the ditch lights under the hood? I will post a picture of how I did mine for now but looking for better ideas.

I dont see any other way to do it other than run a harness to both pods, then through the firewall to your switch :notsure:

    Hi, Tony,

While I have not done this mod yet, I am planning to do so here this summer...

In preparing to do so, I am going to go through the “inside the holes” nearest the end of the hood where it meets cowl.

    0CACC34C-052B-4FA4-BEA2-2DC9F2E3D9F6.jpg

I will be placing all the wiring inside a wire loom and fish it through and only using some 3M extra strength double sided tape with some clamp fasteners at the edges to hold a clean look at/near the hinges.

Hope that helps, good luck hermano and post pics when done!

I removed the plastic piece. I believe it was just these at the end and maybe a couple clips??5DDB4EBD-150E-498A-9598-312A69606AE9.jpg2FCD7790-0CCC-4688-BC08-579DFA7534B1.jpg

Doesn't water run through there from a wash or rain? I ran my wiring along the top part of the firewall where the brake lines are.

I ran mine through the back of the hood. Also added rubber grommets so that the wires were not rubbing on the metal edges.

I just finished running mine the same way. Made the most sense and was easy to get in there. I definitely agree that water shouldn’t be an issue

Message @porkitt and @sdde4n for pics. I installed ditch lights and built the harness for both of them.

I got the bracket install, the light install and how to run all the wiring to the switch and the lights. How did you hook up the wires to power? Straight to the battery?

Yep, power and ground right from the battery. You bought the harness with the switch prewired in right?
