So my radio started just shutting off completely no power going to it. Checked the fuses which are fine. Happened once but the next day it was back on so hoped it wouldn't happen again haha. So yesterday while I was driving it shut off again. Dome light works fine, but now the door open light on the dash comes on and only goes off if I have the dome light set to the door setting, but when set to door setting the lights on the door stay on. Also my clock resets to 1:00 every time the car starts. I believe I read these are all on the same circuit. Any ideas what I can do to fix this? Any info would help. Thank you.

Check your battery connections first. Retighten them. There is a ground wire that connects to the body next to the battery. Tighten that. Tighten the ground at your firewall going to your backside of your engine.

Tighten the door bolts and the switch that activates your door on the jamb as it acts as a ground.

Cleaned and tightened firewall, and battery grounds, also made sure the button that activates the door ajar light was tight. No luck. Took the radio out and looked at connections which looked fine. Got the radio to flicker for a second.
The clock still resets to 1:00 every time I turn the truck on and off. I can get the door ajar light to turn off if I have one or both of the overhead lights set to door. When Truck is on the door lights stay on but are dim when overhead lights set to door (This is with doors closed). Also if I have the overhead lights switched to off the door ajar light is on but dim. When I depress the buttons on the door that sense if door is open the door ajar light dims.
Could it be a bad radio causing this? I disconnected the radio and everything seemed to be the same.

Good job on the basics. Now, start jiggling wires and following the leads. Look around the cig lighter area, as well. Not a fun job, but someone has to do it.
