I am thinking of buying a set bf Goodrich mud terrain t/a km2 in 285/70/18. Want to know if anyone has these and what they think of them? Do they take a lot of weight to balance up? Are they loud and how do they wear? I mainly drive on paved roads but occasionally get off road. There is not a whole lot of choices in 285/70/18! Thanks

They will be loud and wear poorly. I had the KO2s for a while and after 10,000 miles they went from 15/32nds tread down to 5/32nds tread. They were smaller than advertised (LT265/70R-18) and chunked easily off-road. If you only occasionally go off-road an A/T would be a way better choice. I run the Nitto Exo Grapplers (LT285/70R18) and they've done great in everything except in thick mud. They're also rated for severe snow use. Falken makes another good A/T tire as does Toyo in the size that you desire.
