It is expensive in CO for lift installs, from what I have seen.

That is what i thought. That will add some time to get the existing bushings pressed out and new ones lubed up and installed.

Don't order it until you decide on installer. Whoever installs it maybe able to get a discount from toytec and it will be cheaper if they order and install. Ask them what the difference in price is first.

Gents I found a large install shop that does all of the lifts for my local Toyota dealer.
They are ordering the TT Boss lift and will install it for $293.46 includes Hunter 4wheel alignment. (worth every nickel of my time) And these guys do a lot of lifts. TT did not give a discount to the shop, all I can say is hmmmm wow..I was standing there when he called them and my tech spoke to them. This shop does two or three dealership Tundras a week, very impressive shop. Oh well, that's biz.

Depending on how soon the shop receives the lift, (3 days) I could have the install done the week of the 6th. I did not order UCA's, I am going to see how the alignment goes and then decide. I am gonna think hard about tire size and brand. Not looking for super aggressive loud big lugs, 99.9% of my time will be on the road.

Thanks to everyone for there input and help.

Yea, it's not too bad at all taking apart the front-end suspension. I had to tear down the whole passenger side once to swap out my bent spindle, which was my first time doing it on the Tundra, and that only took ~2 hours at most. With how often you seem to be doing your swaps, you should totally do a guide with pictures for everyone here. :) If I end up tearing down my front-end in the future, I'll do the same -- but that's not planned for a while until I money saved up for long-travel parts to mix with my BDS bracket lift.

I talked to my dealer about installing a boss kit, and they said they would not touch it, they suggested I take it to discount tire and let them do it.

Those guys can't put a valve stem cap on without it falling off in 2 weeks...

Ya if I get a boss kit, I will find someone else to do it. If I had more of the tools needed and a place to work I would do it myself,

I called another Toyota dealer and asked about the install, they said yes we can do it, 10 hours labor and $1000

Ya no thanks, you know PSA is having sales on freedom rifle kits, and I have a stripped lower...think I will do that...

They're tough. My dealership said 600 on the high side just because they've never put that lift on. Said it could be as low as 400.

    Patriot,

I wanted to see how the lift is going. I am around Charlotte also. I am looking at the Boss and will prolly have it installed. What company did you use and were you happy with them?

Here is a thread on my install and a few pics-

    https://www.tundras.com/threads/pla...os-with-larger-tires.10313/page-2#post-177587

Very happy with my install. Here is the shop that did the work and I would use them again. I go back for a complimentary free recheck of my install in a few weeks. I had them order my Boss lift from TT and they called me when it came in. I had it installed in like 4hrs including Hunter 4 wheel alignment. Nice selection of wheels and tires, staff treated me great. Hope this helps!

I did it that way with my camaro... it's certainly sketchy - less so on the camaro as it's essentially contained within a spring pocket.

I'm no fan of coil spring compressors but if you go slow and steady and use a wrench rather than an impact - it's fine

I did this with my 4runner. I did each side in about 20 minutes. It was stupid easy. It didn't seem as dangerous as the spring compressors I had to use for my jeep to get the front springs in. That felt like I was holding a bomb.
