So what’s the general consensus on keeping the pollen at bay. Although it seems harmless, pollen can cause oxidation which is a bitch to deal with.

Are California dusters the way to go? Currently my truck is only treated with some Meguiars quik detailer. I do a wash and spray detail once a week.

DON'T get a california duster. It's not just a duster. It has an oily/waxy chemical in the brush. Tiny little tag on it warns that it'll stain things it touches. Almost stained my front passenger seat. Got it off there in time, that it didn't, but I was pissed when I moved it off the seat after a 20 minute drive home and there was oil on the cushion.

i wipe down with adam's waterless wash at least every other day. sometimes every day if the pollen is particularly bad. past few weeks, it's been bad at our place. i'll follow that with adam's detail spray. keeps things shiny while removing pollen and bird poop in between full washes.

i really like the waterless wash. works very well. just fold the towel and keep rotating to a clean section as it gets dirty.

Will do. I got a couple of their towels as well with the waterless wash. They had some sort of package for sale so I just went with that.

Thanks for the advice. I will leave the California duster 3200 miles away in California.

I’ve been using a California duster for 2 decades without any issue. They aren’t meant for interior use. I have a large one and a smaller one. They get better with age and are very good at keeping dark vehicles clean.

Pollen is nothing to really worry about if your truck is waxed and taken care of. Now lovebugs are a different story.

Not a huge fan of wiping down my truck with anything if it wasn't just washed. This time of year i just leave the hose next to the truck, and give it a blast every time i go out if if needs it. :notsure:

Same. I took a few ounces of P&S Pearl Shampoo, mixed it in a foam gun.....foamed and rinsed.....pollen gone......quick blow dry with the Ryobi

I think we just got through the worst of the pollen, from White Pine trees. It was like a cloud at times, heavier rain seems to of washed the trees of most. Parked outside it was thick, luckily washes off easily.

We just had some crazy rain and I was hoping that the pollen season was over. Nope...2 days later and I’m covered again. Gonna give it a quick rinse off today and just do a detail when I get a chance.
