Sorry if I’m messing up posting a topic, let me know. I just bought a 2000 Tundra for $7K for 130K miles. Took it too a mechanic and had the drums and break pads changed on all four tires, but he’s worried about some rust on the bottom and frame. I’ve heard of a recall for the frames on those, does anybody know if it’s possible to take advantage of that? Thank you in advance

Yeah, I think your window on that recall has passed.

Well technically you first post should be in “new member introductions “ - but staff member @Pinay was your first response and she didn’t yell at you so I’ll shut up - LOL

YEA unfortunately I don’t think your frame is going to be covered by Toyota

Going to have to try to clean up the rust and do some DIY painting

    Good luck

Easy now, if it was in good condition i think its justifiable. This one doesn't seem like it though haha. I paid 7500 for my 01 "limited" with 129,000 (limited doesnt mean much for pre 04 generations) and im happy. Despite a differential bearing problem but eh f it
