Finally got around to coating my last wheel with CQuartz D-LUX.

Long-ish story about why one wasn't treated.......when the wheels first arrived at my house, I went ahead and treated all four. Back in March, I took them (and the tires) to the shop to have them installed and discovered that one of the wheels was bent/out of round. Ended up leaving the truck at the shop for a few days while we went on a family vacation. I had ordered the wheels from SDHQ, so was dealing with them over the phone about getting a new one sent to my shop. They got the new one sent directly to the shop right away (no chance for me to treat the new wheel). Then life got really busy for me with the "Covid crisis", and now that the pace at work is slowing back down a little, I finally had a chance to pull the wheel off and get it cleaned up and treated.

Shout out to @sdhq_offroad and Icon too. SDHQ got the new wheel sent out the same day I called, and were really easy to work with on the warranty issue with the bad wheel.

Is that from HotRodUpholstery.com? How was the install, the video makes it look easy. I bought one as a backup to when my vinyl one wears out.

Looks good man, but you might want to check your install instructions again. Might be different for your set, however for mine the reservoir fitting (the angled piece at the top of the shock) should be pointed towards the front of the truck. This should keep the reservoir hose from contacting the coil spring and causing wear. I can't quite tell, but it looks like your hose might be contacting. Just looking out!

was looking at the cooper AT3 4s.....curios if you know the difference between the XLT and the 4s? Looks to be the XLT is more for off-roading but not sure. Looking at the 4S because the tire weight is like 10 lbs less also.

Just put this exact kit on a few days ago and am really happy with it and how the truck sits/ rides. Great choice!

yep, that’s the one. Don’t waste time on the eBay ones. I tried one and the texture and material were awful. I ordered a second one myself. I followed the vid step by step, but in the vid he’s re covering a Platinum lid, on my SR5 Lid I didn’t have the ridge to line up the seams with. This one has a few flaws but I’m hoping sun and heat will help shrink it a little

I don't know 4 sure but I'm guessing if it weighs that much less it's probably a lower ply. Thicker ply like u said more for offroad use, less ply equals less weight more geared toward street. I'm not a cooper expert, hell never even had them that I can think of, so feel free to take my guess at difference with a grain of salt.

Looks good! Where did you get yours from? I have been looking on Amazon & Ebay...it looks like some are thicker than others. My preference would be to get thinner ones that don't stick out too far.

DO NOT get the ones made out of heavy ass zinc. The adhesive they use sucks terribly, will melt just sitting in the sun, and those shiny zinc letters will fall the hell off.

Not a tough job, just looks that way. I have Drone Mobile on my truck and I wanted the rock lights to come on when the alarm is disarmed/armed. Couple calls with a tech (also he can get into “the brain” of the unit through his computer) it was all finished.

That's a great idea!!! I'm having rock lights installed next week I think I'm going to have them do that at the same time. I'm going with the KC round white rock lights, what lights did you go with
