Yup. Yup! Consumer Reports rated #1(headlight restoration kit)...just like our Tundras! The trick is the UV clear coat. You don't recoat them, you'll be polishing them again in a few months.

I can vouch for Jim’s process. It worked great on some I did a few months ago.

I used the ultimate compound and it worked amazingly. I also used it on my fenders and all the chrome on my truck. Seeing my truck in the daylight doesn’t even seem like it’s my truck...

Glad to hear it worked out for you and yes it's a great paint correction compound also.

I’ve used 3M Finesse It with success. I’ve also used sandpaper, so I can’t imagine it’ll hurt anything.*

    LED headlamps/fogs; interior footlamps.
I take mine to a body/paint shop, they buff-clean sparkly clear then spray clear coat to keep them that way a long time....

FYI, I just tried SprayMax headlight restore kit that has primer/2 part clear coat for UV protection so I didn’t have to restore/buff headlights every 2 months and it worked awesome. You still have to remove oxidation with a restoration kit/sandpaper first. But the headlights came out crystal clear.

I did this in conjunction with projector retrofit.

edit: forgot to mention the the SprayMax kit is pricy at $30, but it’s enough to cover 3-4 sets of lights even with 1 coat or primer and 2 coats of clear. The kit has a shelf life of 16 hours because the clear has an activator added prior to spraying and will only last 16 hours.

I read somewhere else on this forum so I used some Bug Off with a high DEET percentage and it worked pretty good with very little effort. I read there are risks in using it. I figured why not since they were pretty bad and I really felt I don't have much to lose. They look way better than they did before. Toyota must use some crap plastic in their headlights. I had the same issue with a Camry before. I'm not having any head light issues with my other non Toyotas that are much older and sit outdoors.
