Just call a reputable tuner. I don't particularly care for the "Canned" tunes such as bully dog etc. I'd prefer a tuner put hands on the truck and tune it in person.

You probably wont pick up any real gas mileage by just leaning it out. If you're willing to run 93 in it, you'd see a little bit of gas mileage but not enough to offset the cost of the more expensive fuel but you'd see a pretty damn good performance gain.

Hey guys, sorry for my absence. I appreciate all the advice. The issue was a simple knock sensor causing all hell to break loose. That’s what the slight knock upon start up was. I was told I have rod knock, and that I’d have to replace the engine. All I needed to do was replace a $180 sensor. While I was at it I replaced the O2 sensor and one of my u joints as well as the oil pressure sending unit. When the knock sensor goes bad, it retards timing, causing the noises I was hearing. Im still having issues with ridiculously low oil pressure, but I was told that I should be fine. I sent my oil off to test it, but it appears to have no visible metal shavings in it. Thank you for all the help. I’m now back and rolling in my Tundy!

I've never heard of a knock sensor causing that. But I'll sure remember that.

Did the oil pressure increase at all with the new sensor?

Thanks for checking back in with us and be sure to let us know what the oil results say!

I believe our Tundras have 2 Knock Sensors. The Intake Manifold needs to be removed to access. Might as well replace the Starter while ‘in there’. Glad you got it fixed!

Got the oil results back, and apparently I really tore my engine up. Otherwise, she’s still trucking along. I took a 700 mile trip yesterday to Georgia and had no issues whatsoever. I leave Friday to make another 700 miles back home and I am confident I’ll have no issues. Oil analysis results below.2112A677-348B-475B-BFB9-98E99F27E61A.jpg675F9F4E-6DAE-45F2-B071-0330528405A9.jpg
