Brake pads..stock or aftermarket

Have 34450 miles on truck noticed brakes starting to squeak a lil no towing at all jus daily driving shud I go with stock or those stock big pads that I've seen on trdparts4u or aftermarket pads I don't wana change hubs jus pads any recommendations???

 

I needed new pads too and went with EBC. so far so good (500 miles)

 

Ok I have searched long and hard, (insert comment _ lol) trying to find a thread about aftermarket brake kits. This is the only post, with 1 reply. I have been looking around for aftermarket kit to eventually install. Stop Tech Power Brake Kit looks to be a good option. I have recently stumbled upon these

R1 Concepts and this is encouraging. This kit above in R1's website is priced @ $467.00. I have found this same kit on flea bay for, wait for it...... $224.00. These rotors are drilled & slotted with diamond cut technology. Coated with black zinc. I know the black will wear off, but the top hat stays black This also comes with ceramic pads front and rear. Let's here some thoughts on this. Please exclude the Big Brake Kits - Trd, Brembo, and R1 as I don't tow anything super heavy. I will say this, for the members who do need the big brake kit, I would urge you to look into R1's . Floating rotors, color matching, this kit looks sweet. Thanks and Salute

 

Are you sure that you need new pads and rotors already? That seems like a really short life for stock brakes. How thick are your current pads and rotors? I went with a Power Stop kit myself.

 

Well not as of now. I have 86k miles and only front pads have been changed. Rear have never. The oem brakes are definitely awesome on our Tundra's for sure. When I finally do though it will be something aftermarket.

 

I've been happy with stoptech rotors and pads if you end up replacing them. I had hawk pads before and they were good too.
