Oh lord, I will never try to explain this to anyone on the internet ever again. Got sceamed at on another forum years ago by wire pullers that have no clue. I had a "general contractor" tell me that I should not send power down lines that have always had power flowing the other way. After standing up for my self and showing I understand and Troubleshot Complicated elec issues every day and there no problem feeding my panel from a side breaker he says that someone else in the house could turn on the main. I know in my house that is not even a possibility cause the wife is scared to death of the Breakers but I just quit responding.

    Cody,

I would recommend joining the DJI forum. I have a Mavic Pro and haven't flown it in months. The DJI Go app had some software issues so alot of us went back to older versions until the can figure it out. I haven't been on the forum in a while to follow up on it, but just wanted to put that bug in your ear in case you have any issues. We had issues like garbled video on the display once you got about 150 feet away.

5 of these. I have the older 25 lumen version and they are great. The newer version is 40 lumens. They are rechargeable and you plug them in, turn the switch on, and they automatically come on when you lose power. Great for thunderstorms and hurricane season. They are 11.00 at HD if you can find them. Amazon wants $20- $30 each. I got them online through Ace for $13.00

So someone really believes that electricity can only flow one way? HA!!! You should have explained to him that with AC current, there is not much "real" flow either way, at least not nearly as much as the same number for DC current! I have no trouble educating wire pullers and others who want to argue with me on the poor man's transfer switch. I'm a licensed professional electrical engineer with a Master's in EE.

Received this the other day. Been waiting for nice weather to install it. Thought I'd better do it today with the tropical storm moving in this weekend. Toyota could have made installation a lot easier. It requires a riveter. It had been so long since I riveted anything mine was stuck in the closed position. Instead of fighting it I just went to Lowes and bought another one for $23.

What's the problem with the AGM?

I bought my 24F X2 Power in January of this year.
A month ago the voltage was down to 11.8 and barley started the truck.
The truck had only sat for 11 hours in the driveway since the previous start/drive.
It should have never been that low in the first place.
It had been lagging on the start for about a week, like when you know the battery is going bad.

Took the battery back to Batteries Plus, they gave me a loaner (for 3 days) , charged and tested the battery to see that it held a charge.
They said it was fine, but the CCAs where a little low when I brought it in.
CCAs were fine after they charged it..

Had my oil changed at the dealer the day I picked the battery up and had them check the charging system.
    They said it was fine.

So far the battery has been fine, I think the issue builds up after a month or three of improper charging.
I'm no mechanic, but something made the voltage start dropping, yet the battery and charging system are fine.
There is no parasitic drain, other than my alarm remote start, it has been fine for 5 years.
Besides, everything was fine with the loaner battery and has been fine since Batteries Plus recharged the AGM battery.

From my hours of google research, it seems my 15 minute drive to work (each way) isn't enough to maintain the AGM.
I read that the AGM needs a higher voltage output from the alternator (than what I have now) to maintain it and it likes a long slow charge as opposed to a non-AGM battery.

The HKB Electronics Alternator Voltage Booster (fuse/diode) bumps up the alternator output a tenth of a volt or so.
The charger is in case the voltage drops again and I can properly recharge the battery maybe once a month or so, pretty much what Batteries Plus did.
I probably need to have a battery charger around the house anyway.
    It was $104 on Amazon.

    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B000FRLO9Y/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

Some recommend replacing the ALTS fuse with a GM diode to boost the voltage output, but that deletes having a fuse.
I don't want to go without the fuse and fry out electronics of the truck.

Installed a wireless charger, phone mount today for future road trip purposes.

    https://youtu.be/95vX2McWtRY

Thought it appropriate to represent in the video...

    Big gurll link....
    https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07PDG5FND?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

So far I like it. It does shake very lightly when traveling as anything with some sort of articulated arm will. Does not hinder the digital map purposes.

I have noticed that while it does wirelessly fast charge my S10+ its much slower than the cord by roughly 40 minutes. To get this number I used the phones own estimated time to full.

During testing cord was 1hr, and 4 minutes at about 27% battery. Wireless fast charge was about 1hr, and 45 minutes.

I don't think its the phone mounts fault, but the technology of wirelessly charging things.

I put my 27F X2 on a charger about once every month or two. I use the same charger as you have. AGM batteries take a higher charge than normal batteries do. Alternators are not chargers, all they are designed to do is maintain the battery to a certain charge voltage.

I think I am going to get one of those HKB voltage boosters but am saving for other things right now. I read on the website it will provide about a 0.5-0.6 boost in voltage.

The stock Tundra alternator does not charge the AGM up to it's capacity. Probably at the most to about 13.1 or so. Most AGM's like to be closer to 14. Most likely this is causing the AGM to develop sulfation upon discharge. With sulfation and not being at it's best charge, after a while the battery will become the weak point. Using a specific AGM battery charger like the one you have and using it on a regular basis will condition the battery and help it last for years. A lot of chargers have a desulfation mode also.

Anyway I am still glad I have the AGM battery even though it takes a second or two to plug it in every once in a while. So with that revealed, is it more maintenance than a regular battery? Sure, but very minimal (I mean, plug the charger in) and it will last for many years past what a normal battery will if you do your part. And, it will power things for many hours, sometimes days, and still start the vehicle.

Yeah just get a AGM charger and plug it in every once in a while to recondition it for years of use.

Needed something to plug the hole that wouldn't leak. (Does Teflon tape work on fuel?) It ain't the greatest but better than nothing at all!20200607_131801.jpg

Think I'm done spending money for a bit. After this I don't think there's anything else I want to do to the interior.

SR black interior door handles front and back.
4R Pro black steering wheel trim
    AJT wheel Toyota logo cover

Also a Safe Jack starter recovery kit. It's on backorder but the stock jack was sketchy when I used it.

    Wallygator and aperezsh like this.
