All you need is a cop to sit there one day and give out a bunch of tickets. Then do it again the week after. Then the month after. By then everyone will be scared to speed on that street.

That's what blows my mind. They could make more money from tickets on that road alone to pay for someone to patrol it. Maybe if I go in there with data about the average ticket cost, the estimated number of stops and the total revenue, that will get their attention. It's a gold mine for them.

Purchase an old cop car from an auction and park it along the road.

If I did that at my home, fake cop car, they'd probably give me a ticket for impersonating an officer.

People speed through my neighborhood all the time. There are 3 county sheriffs that live down the street as well. I spoke to 2 out of the 3, and both of them basically told me "they don't like to shit where they sleep". I understand that, but damn, tell your co-workers to patrol it then.

Yeah, if you just tell them they can make a lot of money... it probably won't do much good. But if you show them a graph that shows they can make a buttload....

Dude I was just thinking in the way work the other day how cool it would be to have a special button for those assholes who get right up on you and you can't even see their headlights. Tell ya what, if I had a sap shooter, I'd be in the money. People think they are invincible in their vehicles while driving. Sucks ass.

That's one of my upcoming mods! Auxiliary LED lights cut into the bumper complete with a button in the cab.

Won't do much good against trucks but usually tailgaters are in cars and are "street racers". RIGHT IN THEIR EYES!!

Retracting paintball guns would be awesome though!!
I knew I should've gone to school for engineering!! Damn!

I actually just picked some pods, wiring harness, and rocker switch and plan on mounting them on my bed up towards the window. Spoke to my wife about that and she actually loved the idea. She's like my bonnie when we are driving. She gets more pist then I do.

My wife says just about every 4 letter word you could think of, then adds some extra ones I didn't even know about. Like what's a motherbitch haha. When they pass me, I get behind them, remind them that I was going that speed on purpose but my truck is still fast and will keep up with them... all while directing my brights into their rear view or side morrors.

:drunk: definitely a light bar for the grill. Just been on the fence about length and location.... cause you know.... length and location are key! I also got a 52inch curved for the roof. There are just so many damn choices. :threadjacked:

I met a trucker years ago that hated tailgaters. He always carried a tube of BB's (Daisy sold them in cardboard tubes that fit nicely in your pocket) and if someone tailgated more than a couple of miles, he'd pour a few down the gear shift cover. On the old trucks, it was pretty much open under the cover and they usually hardened and split. The cars had no clue where the "little rocks" were coming from, but they always backed off.

Stay away from the illegal stuff. You could get someone hurt, and yourself arrested. And, still won't solve your problem. Write a letter to the county commissioner in your district and cc copies to all the media you can think of; TV, papers, radio, etc. Stress you are concerned for the safety of the residents. Tell the commissioner you will check back in 2 weeks on progress. If he/she stalls and someone is hurt or killed, the media will be on him like "white on rice." Elected officials don't like a paper trail saying their non-action made lead to a serious injury or death. Watch how fast things happen!
