Is that a trd sport hood ? Can that whole hood setup be bought ? I liked that extra scoop on my Tacoma trd sport I had in 2012

You can buy the hood scoop and have it painted and installed.

Wow thanks for the warning! I did find another place referenced in another thread. I think I’ll go that route, @SiberianTundra had nothing bad to say about them.

I bought one of the ones off of Amazon. It's a rubbery material and the bottom of them sticks in place a little. They are relatively well made. Red and Black inserts
This one only has inserts for the center console. If you have a little more cash-ola, you might want to get a set that has inserts for all the cup holders and handles in the door :notsure:

I finally got my ball mounts for my ram mounts today, so I threw them on.
I also shelled out the money for some hard metal drill bits to drill the 10 holes in my frame for my White Knuckle Off Road Sliders.

Not yet. I'm working this week. I am planning on tackling it this weekend or next week when I'm off.

    Good luck on your install!

One thing I wasn’t prepared for is the acceleration hit these tires caused. Ride, road noise, and all else is good though.

I’d suggest disconnecting your battery for a good while (30 min) and reset the programming. Your truck might stall the first time you restart it. NBD. Having the truck relearn driving habits with the heavier tires helped a bunch for me.

Ok, so disconnecting the battery for 30 minutes will reset the programming, or is there another step I need to do? Thank you for the quick reply btw.

Rog. I felt that my truck was sluggish when I took it for a test drive compared to my 08. I bought the aFe Super Stock intake kit with the pro dry S filter and it feels a lot closer to my 08. It's way more responsive now.

It resets once the power is depleted. That’s all you need to do. This is different than a zero point calibration where you actually need to get into the ECU.

Me either. Lol. I keep seeing sooooooo any good ideas in here and I'm like, Damn I need to do that. Lol.

What I like about the aFe pro dry S is, it doesn't require oil. You can wash it with soap and water.

I was thinking about painting my limited grille black as well. That looks great! I wonder id it would look that good with the chrome surround and hood bulge?

Thanks AZ. I left it disconnected for an hour. Night and day difference. Really impressed with these tires now.
Was beginning to wonder how people run 34s and 35s when I'm only up about 13#s per wheel.

Before I bought the Pro grille, I had a local shop paint my Limited surround and bulge white and the grille black for about $300. Looked great as they did thorough prep/sanding before applying the paint and clear coat. Excuse the bug guts

After three months and 1500 miles, I finally took the Tundra on a 500 mile drive. We recently bought a property in Wyoming, and in the process of furnishing it. I hauled two king size mattresses(vacuum packed) and bunch of other stuff, easily 1000 lbs total.
It was a brutal but very fun drive through some steep and windy roads(Douglas Pass, Co), Flaming George, and other deserted state highways. At any rate the truck was awesome. The seats were very comfortable and I was able to only stop three times in the nine hours. The handling was surprisingly good all things considered. MPG was 18.2 for the 500 miles. Overall very happy with the truck!

18.2 MPG for a 500 mile trip with steep and windy roads?!? You don't have a 4x4 do you? That is awesome mileage!

    A bunch
I actually find in the mountains I get better mileage - don't know if it's because of all the downhills or it's the thinner air. Slower speeds definitely help, but doing 90 on the flats gets about 1 mpg less than averaging 90 in the mountains.

We drove up to a lake by Flaming Gorge from SLC last weekend we got 11mpg. Almost all my trucks miles are from the mountains . Always I get 11MPG off highway are you going 60mph? Smaller than stock tires?
