So I need a little help, I bought some 9003 LEDs for my 2006 tundra and I need to also buy the turn signal switch backs so I don’t end up with hyper flash. My question is, will the 3157ck led bulb work in my truck?

So the company I bought the 9003s from offer the switch back in 3157 and 3157ck. Would I be better off just buying the relay or will the 3157 work? It’s the 3157 lumenex brand and it says it has resistors built into it to assure that I won’t get hyper flash.

From my experience after reading many reviews of these LED bulbs with built in resistors, they are hit or miss. Many say it works but on different car makes and models (not necessarily on a Tundra) or that it will eventually hyperflash after a while. You can certainly try it and if you don't like it, return it.

    A flasher relay is $10 https://www.diodedynamics.com/cf18-lm449-led-turn-signal-flasher.html

I’d get the $60 relay from Diode Dynamics after doing my research on them last week. They offer more options like quick tap, lights on when FOB press, and strobe capabilities with emergency lights. Read the reviews and you’ll see others say they had bought the $10 and ended up getting the $60 and were happy. Most complaints are about the price, but say its well worth it.
