Just spit balling here, but what if you put the truck in the air on 4 jack stands in 4wd and put a breaker bar on the nut, resting against the ground? Would it just spin the other tire?

You can also do the center cap removal with the tire on the ground, wedge the breaker bar against the ground and in 4 low GENTLY break it loose. This would be the last resort, heat if you're not careful about it could ruin the wheel bearing.

    Good news and bad news.

good news: axles came a day early, installed them both easy peasy in about 2 1/2 hours.

Bad news: I still have a weird rumble/vibration over 70mph.

Took her on a nice drive yesterday. The truck is absolutely purring in the engine dept. She is handling street driving nicely with the warmer roads, as well.

Since getting a somewhat firm grasp on the Parking Brake Adjustment last year, I’ve always noticed the driver rear drum is less hot after drives than the pass side when the PB is allowed to ‘self adjust’, as designed. I guess its not a perfect system with the pulleys/cables, etc.

Even with all the Stealer axle work, they seem to get the adjustment about as good as I think it gets when I finally wrapped my head around it last year. I think I’m going to give the driver side Rear Star Adjuster 1 or 2 clicks tighter adjustment after the PB self adjusts from now on.

Going to pull the rear drum off in the next few days and rotate the tires. Hoping this last Axle Seal fix is the final cure and I can move on and focus on other things with the truck. We’ll see soon!

8E6903FD-5BEA-4CA4-8F0D-065C705C263A.jpg Got back yesterday from a fun trip with the oldest boy. Lots of work, but lots of memories to be made, he would not shut up about eating the fish we caught(he didn’t eat any because he partied like a rock star and slept for 12hrs!) but he caught his first fish and was super stoked about it! We saw a bear across the lake “dad shoot the bear!!” Some older boys found a snake, he held it, gave it a kiss and went on his way.
Truck ran great; actually first road trip and speeds over 70mph, felt awesome!
That LSD is something else, WOA I know! Coming down the mountain in 2nd OD off, it was extremely hard to break the rear end loose(even at 40psi tires)
I will remember that in snowy or bad weather, 4wd and low gears.181BDA64-0D7E-4AC7-8D09-D82D97149E07.jpg

Hope y’all are staying safe, we’re currently getting hit with rioters. So all my stuff is shoved in the garage and the guns are loaded.

    Guns stay loaded.

I'm just outside Tampa which has a curfew in effect. I don't feel like riotting will make it here but always ready if it does.

I'm more worried with my wife having to take my son to therapy in the morning. I might tag along in a separate vehicle just to make sure it's clear then head back home once i feel the roads are safe.

thankfully I’m about 50 miles from Minneapolis. We had a BLM rally by the lake here yesterday that consisted of 9 lesbian teenagers thinking they’re changing the world. No exaggeration.

That's why I'm escorting the wife tomorrow...

Sbr ak 75rd drum sitting shotgun and then the normal suppressed ar15 load out plate carrier etc.

Want the loudness of the ak in case there was a crowd attacking so they know its business.

I'm sure it won't come to that and pray it never does but can't risk my wife and child

Fuck fuck fuck. My truck just puffed blue smoke out of the exhaust on startup for the second time today. Shit. I hope that has nothing to do with the slightly rougher than usual idle. As soon as i was happy with the truck and the way it was running.. fuck. Hopefully its just carbon getting burnt from the techron

whenever a storm is coming through I separate the vehicles so no 1 tree-fall can take them all out. Similar might apply to looters.

    Good Luck!
