Refresh and Prep for AC this Summer

Cleaned AC coils, replaced all the insulated 6" tubes & 16" feeder along with all registers (goofy smile is no charge)

 

NICE!

 

I enjoy cleaning the coils...inside and out...also find it very rewarding when I keep spare run capacitors in my closet and they decide to go out in the middle of the night.

 

Yes, I find satisfaction out of pouring bleach down the pipes and keeping everything up there in tip top shape! Got a new unit installed last year and will do everything 100% correct this time around!

 

Is it a RHEEM?

 

Sorry so slow on response.... No it's a "Payne" getting old may replace or bump a little bigger. Was put in years ago when my GF was married to an electrician and his brother was HVAC. Definitely caught my interest when I was noticing mold at the registers. I am not HVAC but I've definitely learned a lot from my buddy across the street he works for Hughes engineering HVAC

 

I'm not HVAC but have learned alot from my bud across the street but we never talked about capacitors and U have a great idea.... Figure it's hot as hell out system goes down, it's probably the capacitor. Service guy wont come till next day, what if he cant get a capacitor. Can't Amazon that, ud be days without, so having on hand is way to go..... Thanx im going to get a couple to day to keep on hand also....

 

Other inexpensive parts worth having on hand are a contactor for the outdoor unit and a universal hot surface ignitor if you have a gas furnace.

And you need different caps for the indoor blower motor versus the outdoor unit compressor / fan.

 

Like I said I have been saved 3 times if I remember correctly. One time had a board go out luckily had an appliance repair supply house near me and it was midday

 

Yeah I had a extra contactor....need to find it or order a spare.....
