    I NEED HELP!!!!

Ok so I thought I knew what I was doing and I bought LED headlights and fog lights for my 2015 SR5. I just installed the spyder projector w/DRL headlights and wanted to swap to LED. I ordered Beamtech H4 headlights as I was told I needed H4 because the low beam and high beam are together. When I went to install them the bulb would not fit in the housing (it was too big around). Is there something different I need to do? Also I read that HID do better in projectors than LED. Any thoughts on that. I don't know much about the lights and want to stay plug and play if possible. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Also the Fog Lights didn't fit but I think thats because I accidentally ordered H16 (European type). So I guess I am looking for advice on the best fog lights to order since I will be returning these as well.

    Thanks in advance.

I have those same ones. I have them for the front and back row of my crew max. They are sweet, especially for the price.

I got the same one's, front and back. Bought new for my 17 DC in dec 2016. Passenger and back seats still look like new. Driver's showing some wear but still looks good for the age and abuse.

Installed a 50w Renogy solar panel. Can still use the tri-fold cover without interference and it’s quickly removable if necessary. Using it to keep my Yeti 400 topped off that runs my Dometic fridge. For longer trips or the need for more power I also have a 100w panel i can deploy to supplement. Of course can also run the engine and charge the Yeti that way :)

Just tried to install the skid plate and found out I didn't get all of the hardware, doh! I'm an idiot. I asked but just trusted they gave me everything. Oh well.

    OK..

What is “Clayed”... (What products, how do you do it)
Then What is “Corrected” ... (same what the heck is it, and how).
    Sealed & 3-1 Ceramic ???

I’m completely lost here, I vaguely remember clay being something used to pull out junk from paint.

I’m asking because I have a brand new Tundra coming next week, and I’d like to put some good wax on it, but now I’m wondering what else I should consider applying as well..

    Thnx

Go look into the detailing threads. But clay is what's used to pull the impurities out the paint's clear coat. Typically should do immediately and apply a wax or sealant right after to seal it and prevent damage. But again, go dig and search within the detailing forums and you'll find alot if good info. There are other options available that do the same as clay, but kinda more user friendly and forgiving.

Any auto store carries clay bars - definitely clay your truck and wax it to reseal it and you'll be impressed.

Question about the install. On the drivers side I hear it's a pain to put on due to the gas tank being in the way. Is that true for all running boards/sliders? I think I will be going the Tyger route soon.

I bought my truck on Wednesday and installed the OEM tonneau cover last night. Not too bad of an install. I had a couple issues with the rails and brackets but worked through it. I’m happy with the results!

    Q:

I live in Arizona and use 87-octane regular. In Utah, Idaho and Nevada, stations were selling 85-octane as regular gas. This forced me to pay more for midgrade 87-octane. Is this the latest petroleum-industry scam to get more of our money? Will my car run okay on this bogus 85-octane regular?

    A:
Octane is the ability of a fuel to resist knock, and high-compression engines tend to knock more. The obverse of that is that lower-compression engines can run on lower-octane gas. Air is thinner the higher above sea level you go. Less air going into the cylinders means less pressure at top dead center when things go bang. It's a lot like lowering the compression ratio in the engine, reducing the need for high octane. Cars will run just fine on lower-octane fuel when they're well above sea level--and all of those states are. Hopefully, by the time you get back down to denser air, you've burned off most of the low-octane stuff, and can refill the tank with higher-grade fuel.
