I have acquired a 66" UWS low profile toolbox recently for my 2016 Tundra. The seller I got it from said it was a 69" however when I got it home it is actually a 66 and is a bit too narrow. I was wondering if this size will work on 1st Gen Tundras?

20200528_085547.jpg Looks like that one might fit if you can get it anchored. If you've already got it does it look like it spans the bed rails?

Just measured my bed from cap to cap is 66" so looks like a yes.

I'm pretty sure I had a 70" box. It was made by Delta. I used it on a 2011 GMC Sierra, a 2013 F150 *spit* and then my 2005 Tundra. It fit all of them perfectly, resting right at the outside of my bed.

My other toolbox is a 70" Delta/TSC box and fits my 3rd gen perfectly so I can't figure out what truck a 66" would work on. Hope I'm not stuck with this one. Thanks for the reply

I would guess it'd fit something like a Tacoma or Ranger. Both trucks have boxes narrower than 1st Gens.

Inside bed rail to inside bed rail is 61"
Setting my tape to 12" deep and dropping it from the bed rail down we could get away with a 20" deep box, so the 17" measurement is clear.

Looks to me like it would fit nicely on a first gen access cab (not sure on double cab). I would rather have a box tuck in a bit than have wind noise, I don't like the look of boxes hanging too wide personally. Might also fit a Tacoma.
