Why you think you would be happier in a 4r? What's wrong with the tundra?

I have both. Drive the Tundra awhile and then test drive a 4 Runner. TBH, the 4R always feels a bit underpowered. Both platforms are ancient but pretty much bulletproof.

That’s entirely up to you, my buddy has a nice 4Runner but my Tundra is superior in every way to ME, it just depends on the jobs you need it to do and the role it needs to fill in your life, to me a big truck is worth it’s weight in gold, but to you the 4Runner might check all your boxes. Very subjective.

I just could not get comfortable in the 4runner and there is not enough room for my giant clown feet more than anything else but in every dimension and metric important to me for long trips the 4runner just did not cut it.

I moved to a 100 series Land Cruiser and though entirely more truck in every way than the 4runner I still could not get stretched out and comfy for entire days on the road which I take a lot for work.

The Tundra is pretty much like sitting on my couch in the living room comfortable compared to the others for me.

    YMMV clearly.

I have both. The 4runner (SR5) is for sure great. Vs the Tundra it's a little more cushy ride and easier to park (lol). The Tundra eats it alive power-wise, the seats are more comfortable for bigger/taller folks (or maybe everyone?), it is way more roomy, it looks better in my opinion and is a pickup truck so apples and oranges.

I needed this. More power, bigger, more room, pretty similar gas mileage all things considered. Just saw some lifted 4Runners and had the itch. I’m back boys don’t sound the alarm.

My wife just got a trd pro 4 runner and honestly I thought I would like it better than my tundra but that 4 runner to me just seems underpowered and that transmission Leaves a lot to be desired. Still prefer driving my tundra

I test drove a lifted 4runner. Don't know the specs but it rode real bad, worse than a stock one. My wife drove it too, she hated it – but she likes our current 4runner.

I liked my 2018 4Runner but disliked it once it was lifted. Outdated and not enough power for modifications. I prefer the Tundra.

Lifted 4Runners look really nice. Driving lifted 4Runners is like driving an underpowered bus.

I have owned both in the last couple years. 4Runner is easier to drive and park, as well as far more capable off road. If I didn’t need to sleep in it, I would have kept it. Tundra has a lot more power, but worse MPG. Also more space. Just depends what you need. Both are pretty reliable and purpose built.

4runners are awesome but I wouldn't go giving up my truck
