Yeah, didnt make any sense to me either. I'll probably hit up Boss to let em know their instructions are a bit off cause I'm sure someone who doesnt know better would try to do all of that lol. Thanks Tundy

I am waiting on 18in method grid wheels with 0 offset and 305/70 KO2's. I've done alot of homework on fitting these tire sizes. I am sure some cutting will need to be done, mainly the body mount. Does anybody know how or if a zero offset with this tire size will fit or how intense it'll be to fit them? I have about 3.2ish inch lift in the front.

Everything I read says the more positive the offset the better as far as fitting. However, I want the great look of the tires out away from the truck a tad so I am a bit worried about it all fitting. Twist my arm and I'll throw on a C4 fab front bumper in a heart beat lol.

How much space is between your bumpstops and lower control arms? I have about 1.5 inches of allowed travel after putting on the bumpstop extensions. I am wondering if I am taking away or limiting travel of my 6112's on top setting. I don't know how to tell how much uptravel is enough or too little. Anyone have thoughts or advice?

That is about what I have between mine. The spacer is to keep the longer blistering from being bottomed out.

Okay, good to know someone has about the same. I asked Bilstein and they said it's fine if it came with my kit. Which seemed a tad too confident IMO but im sticking with it and if I can tell its too little travel I will change it. I tried bottoming out earlier and could'nt/didn't. So I guess those 6112's are rocking it in every way and I couldn't be happier. Should be getting new tires and wheels tomorrow and can start to see how much of a chop, trimming, and molding I'll need to do.

no plates front side view.jpg Finally got the wheels and tires today. Method Grid 0 offset wrapped in BFG KO2s 305/70 r18. I didn't bother putting in the wheel hub covers, shes gotta go in for some cutting, trimming, molding to get rid of rubbing. 102833646_3325963537447686_97723171842555904_n.jpg

Have you done the alignment? Do you need aftermarket upper control arms?

Did you need the diff drop? Did you need the front sway bar relocation kit?

I did have it aligned after the lift, no aftermarket UCA's needed (but they're on the list). I did not need the front sway relocation and I haven't installed the diff drop yet but plan to soon after the BMC.

    Hi all,

I just installed 6112s (1.9” setting both sides) in the front and 5160s in the rear this week. I’m measuring the truck as essentially level within 1/4” front to rear.

Since I often haul or tow a trailer, I’d like to retain at least some of the factory rake. Can you tell me what is the factory rake (i.e. how much higher the rear is than the front from factory)? I forgot to take measurements before install. And if I want to move towards retaining the factory rake, what do I need to add in the rear with the 5160s?

    Thanks!

I believe factory comes about 2 in higher in rear. As for what to put with the 5160's, I'd say add about a 1 in shackle or add a leaf if you're worried about needing extra strength in the rear when towing. I have my 6112's on top setting with 2 shims driver and one on passenger side and 1.5 shackles. The rear is barely higher so with the lower setting up front like you're running I'd bet it'd look good and be CLOSE to factory. Others will chime in. If you bought the parts from a site I'd ask them or check out the 6112 set up/combo thread on this site. You'll be amazed when you realize you're on page 34 lol.

about 2 1/2 inches. I am at 2 1/4” of front lift and still have about 3/8” of front rake

Thanks. I’ve read about as much of the 6112 threads as I can find, but this simple question wasn’t answered anywhere that I could find. The answer is probably buried somewhere and I missed it. I will look into shackles for the rear.

From my research at around 3 in and up you wanna drop the front diff. You'll find people saying that changing the angle of the front diff that it'll cause the fluid not to properly coat the gears yadayadayada. IMO if you have the proper amount of fluid (as you should) then it wont matter and the gears will throw fluid around as designed. I spoke to Darren at Boss about this and he assured me that it will not harm or change anything by dropping the diff and that he sells a ton of diff drop kits every month for years with no problems from the kit.

I have yet to install my diff drop, have ran 4x4 a few times but nothing crazy or taxing on the front end. No issues. This saved me cause I just had Toyota throw in a new front diff actuator covered under my warranty, costs me 50 bucks lol. Had I thrown it in they may have said it broke warranty. Now I will throw the drop kit in soon haha.
