First oil change today. The truck only has 700 miles on it but I've had it for almost 9 Months now, so i figured it was due. The oil was a lot dirtier than i thought it would be :eek2:, so I'm glad i decided to do it today. Also changed out the plastic filter housing for the aluminum one, and added a Fumoto drain valve. The MotivX tools worked great, especially the filter drain tool. All in all a pretty painless operation.

Thanks man... It’s a mix of things . The easy stuff to remove I painted. The radio trim and vent rings i replaced. The climate trim I wrapped . AJT knobs with shifter bezel and steering wheel emblem. I painted the shift knob cup holder and steering wheel.

Finally got the White Knuckle Off Road Sliders off of saw horses and on to my truck.
I went to go drill the last 10 holes into the frame to finish mounting them and remembered that I broke a good bit of my drill bits on some unsavory projects.
After playing around with a bunch of broken bits, I figured I can still drill holes into my brand new truck, and installed a Rago Fabrication dashboard plate so I can mount my Tablet for GPS.
I've seen a lot of people snaging this for there trucks. That's probably why my wait time was longer then the sliders o_O

Used my headlights for first time. Took me 2 months and 1400 miles, but finally got to see what all the hype is about for the led headlights.

Filter minder, takes the guesswork out of whether I've been in the dust enough to need filter replacement. It's below the scale with the good filter, and clogged is supposedly normal + 10" water, so if it ratches up to the 11 or 15 line it's time for a new one

Edit: these are more common on OTR trucks, heavy equipment, Ram and Chevy Diesels, and so forth, which is why the gauge pictured goes to 25", but it can be used on a gasser too, just to a lower target number. They used to make a 0-20" but I don't think it's made anymore. I couldn't find it.

The other reason is that changing the air filter too much supposedly lets in even more crud. The initial dust layer increases efficiency by a lot. Supposedly around half the dirt a filter will pass is in the first tenth of its life if the guys on BITOG tell the truth. If anyone is gonna be motivated to reduce the dirt in their engines, it'll be them with their UOAs and silica numbers. Just don't leave it in there so long the gasket deteriorates

It wasn't quite dark yet, I didn't realize they were on till the auto brights came on. That lit up the reflective street signs real well.

Has anyone had any experience with AirRad cold air intakes? I have a line on one for a good price, but want t get some input on it first. I have been eyeing an S&B, but this is the first I've heard of AirRaid. Any input would be helpful. Thanks in advance.
