Tnx guys, well I got the response I was expecting so I can't act say I'm surprised. I was thinking about doing it for the times I need to bring gas with me but even then I'm not sure it's worth mounting. I was really hoping someone could explain to me how it was safe to just keep it back there all the time for those whenever you may need it times, but I can't say I was expecting someone to scientifically explain to me that I would have nothing to worry about just leaving it. Tnx guys, just wanted to be sure.

Now do I sell the rotopax or mount it for those times I know I will need.

That looks great. I find it's something about the mix of paint, black trim and chrome that throws the front end into disarray. Just taking the chrome out of the picture makes the whole front end look balanced and completely different.

Have you posted details about the install? I'm curious how that went. Seems like a simply layer of protection for $125.

That sounds like just about the perfect Saturday to me. Some truck maintenance, organization and smoked beef.

I bedlined the brackets on my OEM Stealth running boards. I'm guessing rocks chipped off the old paint on the forward facing portion of them. Going to let em cure overnight and install them tomorrow

How was it doing the bed side decal? I've got new ones sitting in my garage I just need to find the time and motivation to put them on.

The install was easy. File attached. My gbs was already turned on so I just added the parts and tested it. Clapped my hands inside the truck after it was set and it went off.

I had read a thread about some having issues but I encountered none. IMHO well worth the investment. I tow a boat to lakes and leave the truck at ramps all day when fishing. Just an additional deterrent.

Added some courtesy lights under the running boards tonight. Used LED light strips and tapped into the driver side footwell light. They fade in and out like the interior lights. 20200521_225126.jpg 20200521_225114.jpg

Tackled the rest of my interior shiny pieces today. It's mind boggling how much has to be removed to get to that center dash piece - but still significantly easier than what it seems like by looking at the pics. Also found a neat little Texas logo hidden inside my dash. Props to AJT designs for some real quality trim pieces that fit perfectly.

I took my time and was interrupted by several phone calls. By the time I closed the garage door I spent 4 ½ hours. I also cleaned all the dust behind everything and cleaned each piece before putting back in. So, basically, an entire afternoon. Not something I would want to rush through. I was very careful to follow the AJT instructions and that made taking apart the knobs a little slow. All those parts go back together easily and it's way faster on the back end - because you can now see exactly where every little clip is. :)
