Hey guys, I bought a new 2019 SR5 from Jimmy Pattison a few weeks ago (Victoria), I’m wondering if anyone’s either changed out their chrome grille to a matching color painted one or pulled theirs and had it painted.

I’m not sure what the best direction to go is. Anyone had any experience with this?

just 2 or 3 screws, and 2 plugs then it will pop off. You can check out videos on you tube.

I guess I’m wondering about cost. Is it cheaper to spend $500 on a Sparks TDR Pro grille or has anyone had their grille painted?

You are probably looking at around $1000 by the time you buy the painted Pro Gill, TSS cover (cost as much as the grill), and matching bulge. I bought a used SR grill and bulge that was OEM painted for $150, then had a local body shop color match for $200. They suggested going this route rather than trying to paint the chrome grill/bulge.
