Buy the cable on Amazon (about $35-$40) and the seller will provide you with the link to download TechStream then program them yourself. Its easy

I’m interested in this as well what is the cable? Wondering if anyone has found a work around outside of the dealership.

I ordered this key for my 2015 so I could have an all in one key Transponder.
Works grate! Only 60$ to cut the key and program at my local locksmith.

Thank for the info. How do I know that the GQXXEbhDP8M42 is the same key on my 2014 Tundra? The transponder key has a G stamp. lewill

I went to the locksmith first and he was able to tell me what code I needed, but in the description it says it fit 2011-2017 tundras. I’m not a huge fan off the flip key but it’s small and it works. And much cheaper then the dealer! Over all I’m very happy with it.

Has anyone here been successful with a non flip key style that has the buttons integrated? Like a RAV4 key?

I bought this one. Went to local locksmith. He told me he would charge $25 to cut and program but he couldn't guarantee it would program. Luckily it did and it works great. I even use it for my remote start.

I spent two weeks searching the internet for a non flip but had no luck.......
I’m now the proud owner of four keys that don’t work! Lol
If you go on the hunt for it, I do know the tundra needs the correct transponder code and key blank.
This is what the lock smith told me.
    GQ43VT20T, code- chip-G, key.

for what it’s worth, the flip is small in your pocket and works well.....

I just got my 2016 and am already annoyed at the separate Key+Fob. Guess I will have to go with the flip key as well.

    Thanks for the info guys.

I am a locksmith and you can get a remote head key like the one on a rav 4. I have one for my 2011 sequoia and my new to me 2017 tundra. The only thing is the Tundra is 3 buttons and I can only get 4 button remotes but it is possible.

I honestly don't know. I am mainly an auto locksmiths. The tools are there to do this it just depends on if they have them. If its not against the rules I can sell these for a fair price but again I can only get the 4 button ones. It has the same functionality as your orginal but just combines them

    FYI.......
I have that key in my drawer, because it didn’t work.....
It’s not the code my 2015 tundra needed.
My advice, Have the dealer or locksmith run your vin. and give you the correct code for your vehicle.
That’s why I went with The Eurostyle key.
The only one I could find.
    I’m sure there more but.......

    2015 code GQ43VT20T, G key

Your correct it wont work unless you find someone who can make one. You cant just buy it. It takes technology that only a locksmith will have. The same remote works for a 2020 tundra that works for a 2008 and maybe before I would need to look up the exact years. Toyota used that exact same remote id on all their remotes doesn't matter what Toyota it goes to as long as it looks like our remotes it will work. Of course only the buttons that are featured will work. SO a 2009 Sienna remote will program to my 2017 tundra but the side doors and rear hatch of course wont work. Hopefully this will shed some light on it. When it comes to keys there is the dot chip, g chip and h chip. Or you have push button start which is 8a chip.

    Not arguing......
But maybe you could post which keys to purchase for these guys so they don’t go through what I went through.
When I look up 2020 tundra it’s got a different FCC code, and when I look up a 2009 sienna it has a separate key and fob. I was just trying to share my experience and headache with the tundra family.
    Good luck guys!

I cant post a part number. Im not sure I was clear enough with my post earlier. Toyota doesn't make this as an option. What I can do is an aftermarket solution that puts oem programming in the remote portion of the key. I then add the correct chip depending on your year make and model and then program it. I can sell the keys if that's permitted and they will just need to take it to a locksmith to program if their local locksmith can't furnish a key like this. Hopefully that will clear things up some.

That’s good news, I recently bought one also. Also thats what the locksmith told me, he cant guarantee it will work but he will try it. 25 dollar is a good price, hes charging 60, well worth it if it works.

In the same dingy as yall. Just bought a 2018 and it only had one key, which I stupidly didnt think to ask about until after they had cashed my check for the truck. My Taco only had one key too. And my motorcycle. Maybe its just me..

I get my truck Saturday, key mission next week and if I have any luck i’ll post links and such. Need a second key before I blonde-ly lock the keys in the truck..

Got a spare non-fob key at a local locksmith in 5 mins for $70. A fobbed version wouldve been $175. Both half of what my local Toyota dealer wanted for the same exact thing. Prob get cheaper on Amazon or whatever but im impatient and had no spare.. new one unlocks and starts the truck. If I lose the expensive one i’ll buy an expensive one but just needed a backup..
